Hi, may I ask anyone know what is the market price for hankook venture 2 concept 2?
I was trade in my 4tyre, all bridgestone. Two used 1year 7mm thick another two used 2 months 9mm thick.
They charge me RM440 for the Tyre. But I realise Hankook was relatively cheap.

How you know how many mm balance of your tyre?
New tyre for sedan also not until 9mm

Why install different tyre? Just install all 4 same tyre is better.

I think this kind of tyre is mainly for track purpose…
normal road is more difficult to try…if you want to test drive, better race in Sepang circuit…

Extreme Performance Tyre is street tyre lah doh.gif
Look at the threadwear rating of PSC2,it's 180 which is generally regarded as street tyre by racing organization around the world(140 or 200 threadwear cut off)
The original PSC is like 60 or 80 threadwear which make it a r compound
Look at the amount of enthusiast car with extreme performance tyre around(Federal 595RSR,Toyo R1R,Nankang NS2R 180TW version,Advan Neova AD08R,Hankook RS3,Bridgestone RE11/A etc etc)
It is perfectly safe to use it for street, just be more cautious when wet

im quite interested with the product but there is not much review that i can refer to.. i just watched Porsche test drive, omg so cool! faster lap, good grip, and more efficient with water dissipation. really like!

PSC2 is meant for track usage, but yet road legal, and sits above PSS.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVQlAkIQaJ4

This video of their test driver shows the same Porsche on the road to illustrate that message.
Some additional info here:
http://www.michelinman.com/tire-selector/c...-2/tire-details

Definitely not for normal drivers who don't exactly spend time on the track IMHO...

so it can be use for normal street usage as well? cautious when wet means? not really good?
*
Yes can be used for street and it is legal to do so
Cautious in wet mean be more careful in wet laugh.gif
Tyre like that are not good when dealing with standing water
But if you are that type that always visit touge(mountain pass, think Genting) or track then compromise like that is worth it for its performance merit(Most enthusiast friend i know use AD08R or NS2R depending on budget)

wat is r compound? which part is also modified from PSC except threadwear?
*
R Compound=semi slick
Usually they are not really road legal and unsafe to use in wet
They have threadwear of below 140
Some example of this are Toyo R888,Nitto NT01,Advan A050,Hankook Ventus TD/Z221,Bridgestone RE11S and Dunlop Direzza 03G

i am changing 17" for the first time. would like to look for comfort tyres (and wet grip if allowed) with a budget of 300+ region.

know nuts about tyres and stuff... sifus, please guide this newbie.

btw, would you guys be particular about lug nuts? like most of the shops are selling replica alloy rays nuts that costs about 60-100 region. what are your thoughts about them?

hi guys.... what would you recommend for Peugeot 308? I believed the tire spec should be 205/55/16.

looking something is quiet, comfortable & good grip (mostly for city driving & occasional long distance driving)
