am considering getting the A500, just need to know whether i can run utorrent on this machine...... my laptop just burnt it's video card, torn/undecided between getting this and a Galaxy s2.....note will get laptop during PC fair...

Hope someone can adv me....knock some sense maybe and no I can't get both

this gadget cannot replace notebook. just get SGS II and a notebook. then when you have extra money just go for any tablet.

Half a day already on Honeycomb Prime 1.4 : Excellent, whole unit performance has increased obviously. One user commented about Youtube issues - don't have such problems

Those thinking of upgrade - use ClockworkMod recovery to backup your whole system before proceed . JUST in case you have problems and you wish to restore back to its original form

How is the speed for gps to log on? I read a review saying that it is slow compare to xoom or asus transformer.

I test with sygic aura lockup 2 sec consistently

I have been using my Iconia for almost 2 weeks now and it is great. I just now took out my MicroSD 8 GB and inserted to a Kingston 3 in one card reader to copy over one HD movie. It copied OK and I can vlsee the file on my Win 7 PC but when I put it into my Iconia itcannot see the filethat I just copiedeven after a reboot took it out and put into the card reader and the PC can see the file.

Any suggestion.

what format is the HD movie? I suggest use moboplayer to search for the HD movie

The HD format plays just fine, I cannot even see the files copied via file explorer HD.

Anyway I am reformatting the MicroSD again on Fat32 format as suggested.

the easier way to install recover img can use Acer Recovery Installer
just download from market, install > backup current rom image.

boot into CWM then update your custom HC3.1..

Hi Benny,

I had install ClockWorkMod and did a full backup.
Proceed to update to Primee V1.4 V6 but not install Patch6
System bootup to the Logo and hangs there.

I am not sure what is wrong so I am now restoring back to the full backup I did.

Any suggestion.

did you clear your cache partition and dalvik cache ( at advanced) before you flash the zip
it is even better to clear data/factory reset

I did the dalvik cache clear and I notice that the update also clear dalvik cache. But I did not do the clear data/factory reset, can I do that in clockworkmod ?
Can I also apply the Patch6 before I reboot ?

itching to taste the speed of 1.4GHz... I am now back after a full restore.

im on prime version 6 as well, so far so good, like the performance and gps lock

anyway, i noticed 1 thing, if you plug your iconia to the pc using usb cable, when u browse the hard drive, you will get duplicate folder for each folder that you have in the hard drive.

its nothing major, just a duplicate, still you can copy and transfer file from it ..

The latest i checked with my supplier is RM1450. But i am still comparing this with Asus Transformer and Samsung Tab 10.1.
Haven't make up my mind yet. They all have almost the spec. and price, very hard to decide especial A500 has a nice USB2 port while the others have better screen and slimmer.

The Tab 10.1 don't even have a micro SD card ; what a letdown

True, that is another down for Tab. I am more and more leaning toward A500 now.
