Haha sometimes I blast like mad la, but for like one hour or so only, heat sink behind woofer? @@ Have to disassemble to see it?
Blast for one hour without problem should consider that is not speaker or amp problem liao.... checked the pic you took for rear side, looks like there are no heatsinks expose out like other models do.
When gaming my laptop temp goes up to about 80+ to 90 degree leh, the air is seriously very hot, so I think that's the reason, now don't dare put beside my laptop d. Haha sometimes I blast like mad la, but for like one hour or so only, heat sink behind woofer? @@ Have to disassemble to see it?
only certain model got heat sink behind woofer.. tht mean ur woofer dont hav heat sink no need to disassemble, the heat sink attached at behind of the woofer
Hi, im trying to compare M1335 and M3400... I see that M1335 give an amplifier output and I tested it out that it sounds better than M3400... But I get comments that ppl say the bass for M3400 is better...
So I wonder why does the M1335 bass sounds better... And what does amplifier power output means? Does M3400 has an amplifier power output too?

Up to personal preference, some like M1335 some like M3400 some like other models.
Plan to get R1600T for my project purpose.... But anyone here using WM8501 DAC or other sound card that cannot control the volume one? Does it cause your Edifier speaker volume control too over sensitive? Now i had mine here cannot actually use it for M3300, because even i turn the volume knob to the lowest, i still hear some sound, when turn a little, it will be too loud.

To my ears, M3400, for the bass. To me, I think that M1335's treble is a bit more ear piercing while m3400's satellite can give a "smoother??" feeling to my ear. Details wise... Can't say anything as I don't have them together. I once own it but now my mum/bro/dad own it... (I mean the M3400). I got only m1335 left in my hostel. M3400 is way overpower for my room here, condo somemore. Depends on you la~~ But RM160+- for 6.5" Subwoofer (lowest price for 6.5" i guess), worth it! Why don't you audit them in lowyat... But hor... Lowyat nowadays... I don't know why. Seems like every shop is controlling their speaker volume. All IT straight reduce from their input(source in which even the speaker volume on 100%, it's still not loud at all, S730 that won't stomp your heart. Get it? LOL) Maybe they set up such policy. Not sure. Other shops all tune down speaker volume too after customer test test.

Lol. Thanks for the thumbs up. I don't really know how to describe sound. I just like it and say it's good when i listen to it and it sounds nice to my ears. In terms of bass, M3400 really wins a lot. I don't know why but m1335 got sort of... Clipping or what on the lower frequency. Whenever i tune up the bass knob on m1335, i won't let it goes over erm... 70% or 80% as it sounds bad to my ears but this doesn't exist in M3400. In M3400, goes all the way you like. What I mean here is. Distortion seems to happen in M1335 when bass is overwhelmed(somemore my laptop somehow output sound with more bass compared to my phone and mp3 player). Sound produced at lower frequency goes wrong to my ear. M3400 on the other hand, will only produce MORE bass. Distortion is less. Don't know why this happens but possibly due to their design.

Oic... I had a M1310, not M1335 at home and im using M3400... But i still feel like M1310 bass sounds alot better because i felt like it did punch my chest a little at the same volume with M3400... The M1310 is for the desktop, that is my family using... And the M1310 is a discontinued product... Use it for more than 2 years...
I just bought my M3400 not long ago about 3 weeks... I guess is it have not been warm up yet rite? Do you agree? I'm using M3400 for my laptop with a build in bass boost which i really like it... And i can control the boost...
M1335 and M1310 should be the same but i think the M1335 is better bass than M1310... So im kinda confused with it here... That's why i asked you.... (btw, at first i wanted to get M1335 instead of M3400)

For me... M3400 definitely has better bass to my liking. My laptop got SRS Premium Sound software but i let the bass boost at 0. M1335 bass do have sort of clipping when it overwhelm. Not sure about 1310. 1335 also discontinued product. LOL... M3400 can punch your chest la... My m1335 no feeling one (the max it can is... punch my table). M3400 can even shake my home window pane so... u think lea? Is it possible that it's your placement problem? Try adjust adjust see whether can get better effect.

Oh really? But i still saw there is still lots of M1335 out there... LOL~ Yeah M3400 does shake lots of things but i did it with bass boost... Will try tomorrow afternoon without the bass boost because is late right now... If i do it right now might give my neighbors a bit shock for waking them up from their sweet dreams... HAHA XD
Is it a bad and not a safe thing to use bass boost for speakers? Mine is also SRS Premium Sound... Im using the Dell Studio 1558.... Placement problem? The monitor and speakers are right in front of me and the subwoofer is just beside me which is everything on the desk... (monitor, speaker and subwoofer on the desk) Do I place it wrongly?

Why don't place your subwoofer on the floor. It's always advisable not to put them on table. Put it on the floor and see does it make any difference. I rmb the cable is long enough to place ur sub on the floor. Mine is Studio 1555. LOL... That's why we're talking about the same thing. Mine comes with the exactly same software from IDT. With Bass boost, it gives boost for lower frequencies and for me what i know is... When i set the boost to 6 or 9dB, I can leave the bass knob of M1335 at just about 20~40% but it produces bass like w/o bass boost @70~80%. It doesn't really make a lot of difference for me yet do make m1335 distort a bit.
Eh... Studio 15 speaker awesome right xD BUT... I think i blast it too much in the first year of usage... I think left or right channel went loose and when play songs at full volume, sometimes will hear thing vibrating. The subwoofer hidden inside studio 15 is a beast xD
Erm... I think you can try without the bass boost then push up a bit on speaker side.
