that's the reason I'm asking.. the price... which is only around RM80 can't be considered high-end... But a friend of mine... well... he claimed that SHE9500 is a high-end ear-phone. I quarrel with him almost 15 minutes... just to say that SHE9500 isn't... so that's why I asked the question here... Oh... that guy also a very proud user of SHE9500... ~ sigh

Personally, I'd just agree or keep quiet about it. I'm not even sure the RM400+ ety er6 can be called entry level high-end IEM, let alone a RM80 canalphone. he's just not seen what the real stuff are like, pricewise and sound
i guess if u look at it at as a matter of oppinion kinda thing, it depends on the person himself to someone like me, a RM1500 hp would be pretty much very high end but i'm sure the ppl who own stuff that cost 5 times more wouldn't think it's high end

lots of high-end dynamic headphones out there can be had for around RM2000. anything higher, you'd be paying for the cosmetics, and much would go into premium and goodwill. But then again, the "real" price is not RM2000, since you still need a decent amp to drive them. IEMs are totally different, the er6 probably sounded like a RM200 headphone, while the UE10pro "probably" sounds like a RM1k+ headphone....but being priced RM4000. They just have a lower price:performance ratio, which is why I wouldn'y say the er6 can be called entry level at all. and yeah, it's also very much due to the experience in these things

do you really need wireless? they sound like "radio" and for the same amount of money, you could get something much better from the wired ones.

hehe no worries. I have wires routed under my table to my amp >.<, wireless headphone is the alst thing you'd wanna go for. RM300, probbably the Grado SR60. if you could stretch your budget to around RM400-500, get the Sennheiser HD555. That's the phone that I truely believe pwns everything under RM500, at least it pwns all the phones <RM500 that I've ever auditioned. you can read more about it here: http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=215501the phone also benefits from a headphone amp, but if you dun have the budget for the amp, you can always invest in it later

They still have the PX100. Is it good? I forgot the price liao... but certainly less than RM200.

Hey guys, Friend needs recommendation on a either a neckband/clip on. And I have no idea what's good for these types. Please do not recommend px100, portapro, or the normal headband type. He doesn't really like em. Budget is RM 200 Tops. Emphasis on: comfort and performance. He listens to a really wide variety. So nothing bass heavy or crystal clear is needed. A balanced one would suffice So far, he has looked at the ksc 75 and ksc 55. Any comments on those? Keep the ideas rolling guys! Thanks on his behalf!

ksc75 should be okie since is <rm100, some how is not so bassy if no amped and is not crystal clear. To choose design over sound quality is the most difficulty thing to do here for most forumers here.

i had the ksc 55 a while ago sounds pretty good for it's price i felt it was kinda bassy though cant comment on the comfort, but if he wears specs avoid it at all costs the ksc 75 should be a better buy search around head-fi.org, it's supposed to sound extremely good for what you're paying there's a simple mod that can be done too This post has been edited by KilJim: Nov 23 2005, 05:36 PM
