我昨天刚拿到ipad2，
晚上我testing bleeding problem,
开始的时候brightness 50%以下是很完美，一点bleeding都没有。
当我把brightness 调到80~90%，左边就会慢慢出现bleeding problem.
在那时候我就赶快调回50%以下，不然就会更加厉害。

我自己个人意见，如果长时间把brightness调到100%，bleeding problem 会更加厉害。
可能是100%brightness会使ipad2过热，所以才会有这个问题出现吧！（这是我个人的想法）。
我认为，新的ipad 2 千万不要把brightness 调100%去test bleeding problem.
新的ipad2要test的话，60%~70%就够了。不然会后悔。

I got my ipad2 yesterday,
Tested the bleeding problem at night,
when I set the brightness to 50% at the beginning of the test, just a little bleeding can be seen (or none at all),
but when I set the brightness to 80% or 90%, the left side of the screen slowly showing the bleeding signs. At that time I quickly reduce the brightness to 50% afraid that the bleeding would get worst

My personal opinion, it is because I set the brightness to 100% for a long time that my bleeding problem seems worst. Maybe it causes the ipad 2 to overheat? (just my personal opinion)

My suggestion, to check for the bleeding, you don't have to set the brightness to 100%, just set it at 60% to 70% is enuf, or else you'll regret it.

well if you know some E&E guy he can explain to you what does it mean by screen bleeding...

Its an effect due to bad assembly, the screen shouldn't have shown obvious.
Although in actual those who didnt suffer the bleed in actual have the same amount of LED backlight but it was assembled nicely on the wall.

Apple may take back the unit and claims from the molding company who didn't do a precise job on the mm/nm measurement.

yeah, i dun think it'll get worse too. Bright pixel maybe.

How do you properly check for screen bleeding?

I set the brightness to 100%

went to youtube played some music with a black screen video
didnt see anything

considerd as no screen bleeding?

You passed it to DHL, but didn't get any receipt or something? Sekali the postmen keeps it then mention your didn't pass it to him. Since you got no proof also can't do much

If gone then gone already, you better call to make sure.

ya.. i'm one of them, i waited for 3 weeks + 3 days already, tomorrow only I can collect my unit from reseller..

some more the replacement unit still have screen bleed problem as per supplier.. they told me they already return for 2 times already, this time is replacement unit 3..

i accepted it only because otherwise I will have to wait for few weeks again..

hopefully the bleed is not so serious and no dead pixel.. (my previous one have minor screen bleed, but got dead pixel)

Actually when I collected my unit also I opened 2 boxes haha.. one of them had dust inside ... more irritating than dead pixel.

shouldn't equate bleeding to hemorrhaging (blood) which can get worst ... here "bleeding" is just the word use to describe the effect the led backlit "leaks" on the sides due to to problem in assembly process. When assembly is done properly, the backlit should distribute evenly over the whole screen and concealed where it should ... when dark it should be dark, when bright it should be bright ...

i think this problem shouldn't even exist. this is apple what..
