I'm thankful that I'm one if the few who dint have this problem with my iPad 2. I own the 32gb black wifi only model, and I bought mine from mines.

Sux to hear so many of you guys affected by it though. Hope the replacements are ok!

Thats what I saw from MacRumors forum, it seems the DLXF serial number is less prone to screen bleeding according to the forumners there

My first unit is a DLXF (Week 18), still have light leakage but very minimal.

My replacement unit however was from Week 17, can't remember the serial. More or less similar light leakage but screen it noticeable brighter at 100%.

LG versus Samsung display perhaps?

Mine was week 19 serial number starts with DQTF and has massive bleeding. Did Apple Malaysia said that how many replacements can be done as I afraid my replacement iPad 2 will have the same problem...from macrumors forum some of them even exchanged until the 6th set, but its only applicable for western countries..

Thanks to LG. Apple bought the LCD from LG.
LG said they have fixed the problem so i think next batch of
Ipad 2 won't have light bleeding issue anymore.

Too bad for those that bought the first batch sad.gif

I will never buy LG product in my life. I hate LG !! smile.gif

if like that it I think its better to keep the faulty Ipad 2 for a while, once the problem is solved then only exchanged for a faultless Ipad 2...but once you knew there is screen bleeding, you keep looking at it..damn..

I'm really sorry for being off topic here but I really LOL towards people like you with mentality that Made In China will be of inconsistent or poor quality. Many people are still clueless that a lot of these multinational companies are actually making their stuffs in China, shipping it back to their countries like Japan, Europe before shipping them out as made in their infamous countries. Not a lot of companies come clean about their country of origin due to the margin they made.

Bleeding won't go away one wo. Check at full brightness?

My replacement that came back has the same DLXF as the first one with much less bleeding. So much so that even at 50%, barely visible. I will lodge a report tomorrow just in case I wanted a bleed free unit in future when the problem really get ironed out. I was thinking should we all list our serial number to compare if Apple really change our unit or just swapping our unit amongst ourselves.
