QUOTE(Steven_C @ May 4 2011, 07:39 PM) Hmm what kind of agreement? So far no screen bleed? Agreement that I acknowledge if I don't send them the faulty iPad they will charge me the price of the brand new iPad 2 on my credit card Haven't received yet, waiting for shipment. I'll update here for improvement

QUOTE(Raven @ May 4 2011, 08:57 PM) best is get yoru unit checked at VR tech, then once they've confirmed your defect they will order a new unit. u have an option of leaving your unit there and they'll contact u when the new unit arrives, or u can bring your unit back and use it till your replacement arrives so obviously option number 2 la right? i went through this process with my macbook pro, not sure if it applies for the iPad. VR tech is very efficient, well at least to me but its super far...its along jalan yap kwan seng According to the email that I get from AppleCare after our conversation, I called QCD in Berjaya Times Square and they only leave me with 1 option which is to leave your unit there, where they will ship to Singapore before they ship back a replacement. However, from my conversation with AppleCare, you will only get the unit in a whatsoever box, not the retail box. She even assured me that it's not going to be a refurbish unit (I don't buy her story). She added that there is no refurbished unit as it's still new. When I checked my unit serial online, it tracked down the manufacturing date was 16 April. So it was a new one but getting one without a serial number, who knows what's going on behind closed door.

Crazy idea.. My initial plan was a freebies, not about changing the iPad cos the screen bleeding does not matter. I find it so pain to look at my iPad with light off even with 25% brightness. Even when I off my lighting to watch movies, I will turn of Eco mode to dim the brightness on the tv and will turn a secondary led build to provide slight lighting to lessen the effect of fatigue.
