QUOTE(joshuaking @ Sep 22 2011, 03:39 PM) HI,all sifu. Please give advice on choosing speaker set in between Edifier DA5000pro or Microlab FC730> dunno much about microlab but if you mind about space saving speakers the DA5000PRO will have the amp built inside the woofer with all the controls instead of having an external amp outside bugging your table spaceThank you. |

RMS watt can give you estimation of power consumption
usually higher number mean can play loud, but u also need to look at distortion "noise" level usually they measure in percent% THD, low number below <1% is good |

dont worry about RMS with watt bill. the RMS is usually calculated through the maximum IC can deliver. i got a 500W RMS speaker system which only takes 40W for normal listening level, same with another 120W RMS speaker. beside the S730 transformer isn't that big too, so it wont suck up too much electricity.
for PC speakers most manufacturers just put some numbers on the specification to attract buyers. dont be surprised if a 200W RMS speaker easily outperform 500W RMS speaker. |

lols my electricity bill is still fine even though I switch my S530D whole day everyday.
you'll only have to worry when using electrical appliances that converts electric to heat like hairdryer, bread toaster, water boiler, etc |

If we compare Edifier S330D and Logitech Z623, which one wins? cause the price almost the same.

Anyone can recommend an affordable 2.1 speaker for RM100-150? Only purpose is for playing electronic music loudly in my room, so something with deep enough bass suited for that. Thanks in advance!
