For Edifier C3 users, which speaker is consider an upgrade? Better sound quality with similar signature?

QUOTE(E1 - AKG @ Aug 9 2011, 09:39 AM) I tried this before at an Apple shop, however I was not that impress. Maybe because the shop was noisy and I couldn't test it properly QUOTE(power911 @ Aug 9 2011, 09:59 AM) squeeze for Edifier S530D or Corsair SP2500 or Harman Kardon Soundsticks III or Creative Gigaworks T3 or AE Aego M Hurmmmm, C6 looks good. Upgrade to 5.1 would be nice. How much is it btw? Performance for music is the same as C3? So now it's S530D vs C6 or maybe upgrade your Edifier C3 to C6 (aka HCS5640) Edifier DA5000PRO oso not bad This post has been edited by FaezFarhan: Aug 9 2011, 06:32 PM |

QUOTE(power911 @ Aug 9 2011, 06:46 PM) what I've recommended there is around RM700-800 range for your ease. I see, thanks for the explaination. How does it perform in terms of 5.1? It's good for movies and games I suppose. Is it far off from S530D?Performance wise of C3 vs. C6 C6 performs better overall especially in terms of subwoofer power and crisp clear refined trebles (unlike C3 plastic sounding trebles) I tell you the mids are thick and full of power S530D on the other hand, performs differently (in a good way) |

QUOTE(power911 @ Aug 9 2011, 09:01 PM) I don't know about performance in 5.1 but Thank you for the explaination bro! Really appreciate it. One more question, how's the bass of the S530D compared to the weak one of C3? I'm looking for clarity, yet with the bass there HCS5640 can work very well for bassheads (recommended for FPS games or rumbling movie explosions) you can set the HCS5640 speaker/subwoofer ratio to reduce the volume on sats and increase SW and overall volume, giving out more powerful subwoofer depending on situations like movies and games almost as powerful as logitech speakers but with tighter bass you can almost mute the satellites and leave only the sub bumpin hard and vice versa if you want only the satellites to work the S530D can't do that much for bassheads... satellite power maybe a little too powerful sometimes (only sometimes) leaving the subwoofer weak and useless on large areas (I didn't really cared much about this part though)(it performs well with games too) but do note in terms of clarity I'd prefer the S530D over HCS5640. So test it out first before getting one if possible. |

Guys, currently I'm using Edifier C3. I decided to upgrade, was looking at the Edifier S530D, but forgot to ask for other speakers. Which is recommended under RM800? Especially with good bass

QUOTE(Ryo83 @ Aug 27 2011, 07:24 PM) Congrats! How's the performance like? QUOTE(bulibulizaimon @ Aug 28 2011, 07:01 AM) Hurm, I guess I can't go wrong with Edifier since I'm loving my C3. Probably my C3 helped me decide that I should get the S530D |

@bulibulizaimon
What's your say on the Edifier S530D? Worth it if I upgrade from my C3? Going from built-in sound card + C3 to Asus Xonar D1 + S530D |
