Em, If want to compare with my old Altec Lansing 4100, is it R501 will beat it ?
Today I try out S330 and R501, really hard to decided which 1 want to grab, 1 is for clear sound, another is for surround "boom" ~~~

these two re pretty good speakers,each with its own advantages.So, I would say go for R501 if space is not a concern.

May i know is it strongly recommended to get the sp2500 within the rm700-800 price range(for 2.1) ?

RM300 for 5.1, what speaker you would recommend?
Priority:
1) Clarity of sound. Do not want sound all mixed into one. Need clear differentiation of treble, bass bla bla bla ...
2) Deep+tight+solid bass. Do not want wash out weak bass.

i saw at cmy sg wang plaza, there is 2nd hand acoustic energy ae300 for rm500.maybe u can bargain some more. i found online review not bad but its an old speaker though

delete Sonic Gear A7 from your list and add Edifier HCS2330 or Altec Lansing VS4621

wouldn't really mind Sonic Gear but I'm just afraid that it may be another bad product
