Focal xs book VS Bose companion 20, Which one is better for music?

yea really, no kidding
when i bought these speaker on march 2011,
i test it with Saving private ryan omaha beach scene,
the bullet ricochet sound is ok,
but the explosion sound effect is.. lemau.. i mean come on, where is the ground shaking sound,

after intense use of edifier C3, *i practically rape any techno,trance, dance, electrohouse, n eurobeats video on youtube*
16 months later, i play the same Omaha beach scene, but now is different,
the explosion sound effect is A.W.E.S.O.M.E

i highly recommend these set, the Edifier C3 for gamers, kaki movie n music lover(but not audiophile).

i just want to ask what do you guys think of the R1900TIII

i have search it their website and price include shipping around rm1250. i like it compact and has the digital audio in input for my ps3 or apple tv. just curious bout the build quality.?

xs book did not come with subwoofer, the one come with is xs 2.1

i did not audit bose yet, but for focal xs book, i think mid, high, vocal, soudstage quite good, but while come to bass department, i no idea is it consider good for its size, since it just 4 inch driver...and before own xs book, i used 2.1 speaker set...since used to be having subwoofer for bass, hence i can sense that bass extension(anything below 60hz) is gone....

good for nearfield listening, did not need to place them very far away with each other like aego m (aego m at least need 2 m -2.5m just sound good to me)

I am thinking to buy Sony SRS D8. But this few days I saw a lot of Microlab reviews. Everyone said that is very good. In Malaysia dont have any shops selling Microlab. That is the problem that I cant audit it.

Anybody can give me some advise for Microlab 2.1 speakers (any model) compare with Sony SRS D8. Thankyou

m3500 is worth the money.. this is my first time going 5.1 and i don't think thats around my budget..don't think i can push it further..

Room size = Standard Apartment living room
Purpose = mostly watching movies, listening to music and also gaming .. sometimes...

not sure about m3500, but r501 seem like a more popular choice

while reviews said microlab is good, people in UK tend to recommend me other brands than microlab.

I dunno. They ask me to avoid microlab 2.0 speakers as much as M-Audio 2.0 speakers due to sudden speaker shutdown.

I have never experience Microlab speakers but if the UK people are telling the truth, I'd find a better one like swans speaker or something
