Hi all sifu, I want to buy a speaker for gaming like playing battlefield 3.

I want to set the speaker system in my tiny study room, My budget is rm200+-

I want to have a loud clear explosion sound.

Currently interested in:

(a) Edifier M2300 2.1, Price : RM189.
(b) Edifier M1335 2.1, Price: RM109.
© Creative A520 5.1, Price RM219.

My question is: Is it worth to add money to buy 5.1 or just stick with 2.1?

or please recommend me a decent one. (other brands also can) cool.gif

Bro, better go for Edifier M3400 for ur BF3. Nice bass for gaming!

Its worth to upgrade to 5.1 for gaming expecially fps gaming. But then you need to rise budget to RM1k. If budget is not a problem, then go ahead for Logitech Z5500 otherwise just stay on 2.1 system.

Yes General of da army, bulibulizaimon.

Btw, i saw that Edifier E2300 is almost same to Edifier M3400 in terms of specs, just that M2300 has a slightly higher (RMS or Amplifier Power output) than M3400

M2300 - RMS 8W X 2 , Subwoofer RMS 25W = Total 41
M3400 - RMS 8W X 2, Subwoofer RMS 18W = Total 36

This does not affect alot rite? Inter-Asia also reviewed that M3400 is better than M2300.

I think i will get this one.

Specs only tells a tiny portion of the story in speakers.
one has to test them out to experience the true fun in it.

M3400 works for everyone in general because the sound created suits most modern pop songs.
if not you can also consider Edifier E3100, an alternative to M3400

I'm going to get a 2.1 speakers that mainly use to listen song, but what comes to my mind are Edifier M3300 as recommended from TS, but when I check the price I noticed that there is another version of M3300 which was M3300SF and the price is only differ of RM10, so may I know what is the different between them, and is it worth the RM10 to upgrade to M3300SF? Or M3300 is better for music?

Need suggestion here. Speaker for computer. Mainly for gaming>music (clubbing music and music with heavy guitar and drums). Thinking of 5.1 or 7.1 but read somewhere, surround speaker are not suitable for music. Budget is rm500 but the less the better biggrin.gif.

And want to ask for those who have 5.1 or 7.1 about their opinion when playing music. Just wondering 5.1 is not suitable for music. Gracias

not sure if Edifier C5 suits your budget or not.
if not then Logitech Z623

Surround speakers are not suitable for music mainly because:
1. many people don't know how to wire them properly and come back complaining only 2 speakers work while others doesn't.
2. not all surround speakers support 'stereo surround'
3. music is recorded in stereo and not 5.1 or 7.1 surround. even movies barely had any surround
4. by making stereo surround, you lose the fun of listening to music because you'll mix up the left and right stereo channels.

correct me if I'm wrong but these are the most common stuff being told around here on why surround speakers isn't recommended for music

I rather lose the surround rather than the room shacker bass. Some of my friends recommend me Sensonic F6 but I know it's totally beaten by Edifier. So, between C5 and Z623, who's the best?

Edit:

Ouch... C5 cost Rm 649 at Lelong while RRP for Z623 are considerable. But I really like C5 features and looks. While Logitech seems ..... I don't know how to describe it. I'm afraid the sound won't be nice like it's look. Hehehe.. Just a stupid instinct. No offense. biggrin.gif

then go test them out biggrin.gif
who knows you might end up buying C5 instead of Z623.

I personally thinks Z623 7" subwoofer isn't great. 7 inch subwoofer... that's gonna be hard to find replacements.

I am staying at a small room. my budget : 500~800. not included soundcard.

After I read from v1 to v4, I'm looking at s530d/da5000pro. is there any other better than tat? Please recommend me a sound card for s530d/da5000pro.
