Need suggestion here. Speaker for computer. Mainly for gaming>music (clubbing music and music with heavy guitar and drums). Thinking of 5.1 or 7.1 but read somewhere, surround speaker are not suitable for music. Budget is rm500 but the less the better .

And want to ask for those who have 5.1 or 7.1 about their opinion when playing music. Just wondering 5.1 is not suitable for music. Gracias

I rather lose the surround rather than the room shacker bass. Some of my friends recommend me Sensonic F6 but I know it's totally beaten by Edifier. So, between C5 and Z623, who's the best?

Ouch... C5 cost Rm 649 at Lelong while RRP for Z623 are considerable. But I really like C5 features and looks. While Logitech seems ..... I don't know how to describe it. I'm afraid the sound won't be nice like it's look. Hehehe.. Just a stupid instinct. No offense.

Owh... I wonder where I can find these speaker in Miri or Kuching. All I can see is Altec Lansing and DiVoom that conquer the market. Sad. And I think Postage cost from Peninsular to Sarawak will cost a bomb

Which one is the best choice for price to performance? I need a balance between gaming and music. For music, prefer heart @ balls punch bass with clear sound. And for gaming, I need the "surround" and clear sound. Currently using Sensonic F7. Nice sound in gaming but, bass are not power enough to shake my room. I really can't decide

Edit: 2.1 speaker only. Not interested with >2.1 setup.

Really? I have a of habit blasting my speaker. Do you think Z623 able to survive? I'm afraid the speaker can't stand like my current speaker. Hehe... Just kinda curious because I don't have experience in buying one. BTW, how about edifier speaker?

LOL... ah beng bass I like that term. Well, I'm a universal listener. Not just the boom2 type only. Do you think RM400 Edifier par speaker able to beat Logitech Z623. I mean in term of the build quality, or how far the speaker can be blast?

Forget to tell that I'm using on board sound card. It seems that I will pick Z623. If only C3 are more boomy than my F7. After some googling for sp2200, having issue with the bass are too loud and hard to find the sweet spot. Does Z623 having of this issue to?

Which one will be the best? I'm kinda attracted to SP2500. A lot of positive comment. BUT, i found a LYN forumer sell his Harman Kardon Soundstick III for 699 and I think he haven't sell the speaker yet. Does HKS able to outperform the RM700 par because I found some review are saying that HKS are not that good... Again, I was confused. When I was decide to buy Z623 this weekend, I found another temptation.

To be true, I didn't believe my own ear. Hehe... But you are right. Speaker ain't like other hardware that have benchmark. So, you changed my mind for not to buy sound card Is there any sound card that you can suggest me? Ofcourse the not so expensive but a nice one...

I think I'll go for Asus Xonar DX sound card. And for the speaker, maybe Logitech Z623 or Corsair SP2500, or might be HKS III depend on my budget. I really want to grab the HKS III but things that make me worry is I stay in wooden house, and I'm afraid it will influenced the output. While SP2500 are very big. It seems that Logitech z623 will be the candidate though I'm not Logitech fanboy. And for 5.1 speaker, I'm afraid the wire will be a mess. Will confirm after test-listen. Hehe... Sorry for using wrong term. Output means the sound. My house is more like malay houses design which is the house is on stilts or pile. I just afraid my wooden floor will give bad effect to down firing bass. And I wonder, how does down firing sub perform at cement floor? Is it better or worse than front forward firing?

Is that Z623 are really that powerful? How about it's clarity? I just order myself Asus Xonar DX, and I wonder does this card will improve C3 bass? Read somewhere, cheap sound card will not make too much different in high end speaker.

Anyone ever test both of these speaker, Harman Kardon Soundstick III VS Corsair SP2500?

I love blast my speaker when I play music and I love the boom2 bass. But I also love detail sound in gaming, I mean surround. I don't care too much for movies. I'm stuck here, totally stuck. Why I compare these two? Because I can get HKS III cheaper than SP2500. Hopefully anyone can guide me.

Edit: I know some of you will say listen and feel but the thing is for now, I just need your opinion and thoughts. So please don't shoot me kay?

Wah.. HKS III. Past few weeks, I almost grab one unit from a forumer. He sell for RM 600, a "brand new" used unit. Just opened box, test for few times and warranty is from January. It's a gift from a friend. But the thing that stop me from buying the Stick is because some people say it's not that good in gaming. End up I'm buying myself Corsair SP 2500, and the sound, mmmphhh... Balance for music, gaming and movie. I fell in love for the first time I test the speaker. After that, a friend say that some of the Stick owner claim the speaker are not that durable. I don't know what does he mean but he said due to material to build the sub-woofer. Anyway, I just want to ask how does Stick perform in gaming? I know in music, it's superb...

Try it on game and movie then share the experience kay? Does it surround or it's just clear? Well, 2nd hand Stick that being offered to me is can be consider new because the user just open the box, test few song and keep it back inside the box. I guess he have speaker which is better than that. If I have just extra $$$, definitely will grab from him for mini home theater system.

BTW, another set for your home? Try Edifier or Logitech. But I prefer Edifier. C3 maybe? Or Logitech 5:1 within RM 600?

Guys, my Sensonic F7 have problem with the volume control. I need to press the volume knob while adjusting volume. At first I thought it was my right speaker are the problem because the sound like my satellite already tear or damage and less sound compare to the left one. Luckily, when I'm intend to turn up the volume, the sound suddenly become balance like usual and when I play with the volume knob, it's confirmed that the volume control is the culprit? Any idea? This is my first speaker and I really love it. It's clear and surround sound though the bass are not that doom2... Hehe...

Why no trust in Sensonic? Lauya huh? Can I use 96% alcohol? That's the best that I have now. It's confirm the volume knob. I'll try to check out this evening. BTW, the bass kinda "late" on high volume and sound like rattling at the sub. I don't know how to explain but the sub seems have reach it's limit. Is there anything I can do like change the sub speaker to a better one or it is what it is for it's price. My Corsair SP 2500 still haven't arrive yet.

Wah! I can't believe Hyundai sale speaker too! Haha... My speaker does look lauya but at least it serve me well and still can go loud. As I thought, change the sub driver won't make it better. Duh...

Have the budget? Corsair SP 2500. Balance in everything, except huge sub-woofer size. But I love the big size.

My friend that bought Sonic Gay always said that they regret to buy that speaker. Most of them, influenced by promoter. Hehe... And whenever I enter a pc shop, I will look for Edifier. But the sad part, They have Edifier rack, but it's all Eacan and Sonic Gear boom box on the rack.

Ya... Eacan look kinda cheaper than Sonic Gear. The material are kinda fragile and for Divoom, it's more to boom2 but not doom2... It's loud, but no quality to my ears. But I can't say that what I mention is totally right, it's just my thoughts.

I know this thread is not Corsair SP 2500 owner club, but I just want to share my experience with this speaker. SUPERB for it's price. Strong bass, clear sound, and shake my living room when connected to tv during action or war movie from Astro or DVD. For music, I can feel the bass punch my chest. In case other are looking for a speaker with RM 700 price, grab this monster... And try nego with Cyntrix, sure good price. The con, wired remote control. Wish can DIY wireless remote speaker.
