QUOTE(z1lch @ May 20 2011, 01:05 PM) Type of usage: Laptop usage Hippo Groove, SoundMAGIC PL11, Fischer Audio Omega. These supposedly have somewhat of a popular sound sig(warm with ample bass). I find people who listened to anything good first time are hard to be impressed by a very detailed/analytical setup.File format: MP3 FLAC Music genre: All sorts of music Budget: Less than RM100, preferably those that offers best value for money Headphone/ earphone type: Earphone, moving around a lot. Any? And wondering how does earphone differs, as in how do you guys determine how good is it As for determining how good it is, it is subjective. For people who have never ventured into audiophile territory, I suggest bringing in your ordinary IEM/headphone an compare them with anything audiophile(any price range). We can't simply tell you what to expect. Jaben Malaysia allows free auditions, try there. This post has been edited by tunertoobe: May 20 2011, 06:20 PM |

Headsets only? Or you accept headphones too?
Steelseries siberia and roccat kave is within your budget for headsets. As for me, I've gotten myself the ATH AD700 (which is a headphone) with zalman clip on mic. (If you buy from US, it will cost less than your budget) |

QUOTE(noobandroid @ May 21 2011, 10:10 AM) The reason why that was stated is most likely because the topic was created in another subsection (eg, Hardware Q&A) before being moved to Audiophiles section. However, noobandroid is right, you might get better recommendations if you repost your question on the Headphones / Earphones Recommendation Corner on the link he has provided. QUOTE(haha0803 @ May 21 2011, 12:29 AM) Yes, you may consider the sennheiser.Besides that, there's also AKG, Shure and a few other good brands. As for budget headphones, superlux is one of the best. Since your main is music, pls ignore the recommendation i made in my first post. Those are most likely crappy in musics. |

QUOTE(haha0803 @ May 21 2011, 03:00 PM) Strictly speaking, if you are a certified basshead, then ad700 is not the headphone for you. There is bass, but mayb not as heavy as some other bassy headphones. But, in return, you have very clear audio.. So, depends on what type of music you listen too..However, since I'm not a basshead, the bass provided by my headphone is more than enough IMO. Haven't tested it with games yet, but the reason i chose ad700 is because of its sound positioning and clear-ness. Can hear each word clearly and can hear where your enemy shooting from (source: my friend is a user of the ad700) Anyways, I can't really give you a good comparison as my previous headphone was a RM50 headphone >_> So, obviously this headphone pwn my old headphone.. Lol.. But, compared to my sis sennheiser px100, the sound is also much better.. This post has been edited by Searingmage: May 21 2011, 05:02 PM |

QUOTE(haha0803 @ May 21 2011, 03:00 PM) while the AD900 is definitely out of your budget, you may refer to my review of it in this post: http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=42471023 (a complete review with links/references link is also there that links to my website)The AD700 in general speaking is after all, a scaled down version of the AD900. you may also refer this website: http://www.headfonia.com/audio-technica-ad...1000prm-ad2000/ for info on the the Audio Technica AD series anyways as previous poster said, please refer this thread for recommendation: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1849925 =edit= adding more link lol This post has been edited by Quazacolt: May 21 2011, 06:21 PM |
