I need a gaming headphone which doubles as a music headphone too. Caught between ATH-AD700 vs Sennheiser HD 595. I'm not sure which is better of the two. People who own this can give some comments which you think comes out trumps.

take the ad700, i was gonna go for that to, good for music and positioning in games

i heard and searched all over the net that the UE TF10 is really good.. anyone care to justify that? i prefer sound natural and wide soundstage IEM with balanced armature, and for universal fit, TF10 looks like the end of that road

wat kind of source?

from the looks of your rig, you are not using a dedicated player to listen to music. not good enough. get a dedicated mp3 player, so that your handphone can last longer, and not drain out because u listen too much music on it until it dies out.

after u get a decent mp3 player( don't buy RM20 mp3 player those, get good ones like Nationite, hippo, ipod, sansa, cube those type), then only u start finding headphones, some players come with really nice headphones, and if you like it, u dont even need change headphones. save u a lot

- My rig: Samsung Wave
- What type of usage: Music
- File format used in your source: Mp3
- Genre of music you listen to: R&B, metal, pop, rock
- Headphone/ earphone type: Closed can
- Budget: Under RM200

I already narrow down my choices to:
1. ATH FC700 - Great design, mediocre SQ but it is have enough bass??
2. ATH M30 - Since its monitor series, it will produces high SQ, but is it have good bass??
3. Porta Pros - Most reviewer said it provide plenty of bass, but its open design. Not really interested.
4. Meelec HT21 - Cheap and great SQ. Does it have more bass than FC700??

As a newbie in audiophiles world, I still in phase that craving headphones to have bass... But which phones have more bass (need to be felt rather than heard) but not compromising SQ.
*
from the list M30 is quite a ok choice, it has sufficient but not bulky / muddy bass, should be good for your low budget run
