The reason why that was stated is most likely because the topic was created in another subsection (eg, Hardware Q&A) before being moved to Audiophiles section. However, noobandroid is right, you might get better recommendations if you repost your question on the Headphones / Earphones Recommendation Corner on the link he has provided. smile.gif

I'd actually suggest you to get back to the Yuin PK3... And spend the rest of the money on some CMOY amp or some sort. tongue.gif But you should be concern about build-quality issues as well? (well, I have my PK3 with me for over a year without problems though.. What happened to yours?)

Yuin PK2? It's 79USD at Head-Direct.

If he loves the Yuin PK3's sound he might find Yuin PK2's sound signature to be a little hard to accept. tongue.gif Too bad he's from Penang, else he could drop by my place and give em a test.

Come to think of it.. I want to make an order from Head-Direct for a bunch of those Yuin foams soon.. Shipping is ridiculous though, so if anyone wants to join in for a bulk may drop me a message before I open any sort of thread or what not. smile.gif

Thanks bro. Seems like the only way is to get it from there... by the way what's the difference between PK and OK series? OK is higher end with better SQ?
*
I have not personally compared the OK series with the PK series, but a short talk with kostalex from Head-Fi, he did mention the OK series excel better in technicalities, however, in turn become more "accurate" sounding instead, unlike the PK series which injects a slight bit of colouration.

Take it with a pinch of salt though. I see no need to buy any of the OK series at the moment as I am rather satisfied with the PK1 and 3... But perhaps one of these days I would smile.gif

Not sure if this is the right place to ask a question ... but are there audiophiles that favour earbuds over IEMs? I used to have a pair of Apple IEM's (I know, not exactly of audiophile standards), but they used to irritate me a lot. I love headphones ... but I don't want to bring headphones around.

Audiophile earbuds, got?

From the context of his question, it seems that he's inquiring about earbuds. smile.gif

RM100~RM200 is a decent budget, especially recently I've reviewed a newcomer earbud which goes around that price. What about the type of music you listen to?

Earphones, as in earbuds, not IEMs? You can try the Blox M2C or the Yuin PK3, but they may be hard to come by. The Sennheiser MX580 isn't bad too and is locally obtainable, and will possibly fit in your ear better than the Yuin PK3. But it comes with a volume control on its cable though.
