I tried my friend AF 80-200 f/2.8D ED not bad mah wink.gif
two touch version, but for me still a bit , a bit soft on wide open.
Maybe I too picky. I feel 70-200 VR much better though I can't compare them side by side.

I figure your 1/1250 shutter speed should be more than sufficient. Are you on AF-Continuous or AF-Static? Subjects walking / moving in front?

Well anyway, it's an old lens. The newer VR *should* be better seeing the price and age.

VR and VR2 definitely sharper than the 80200 wide open smile.gif

The only new lens that isn't better in optics compared to the old version is probably the 50mm f/1.2 AiS vs the 50mm f/1.4D (and probably G too?).

Hehe, old lens characteristic. They are not running also.
Shutter speed fast enough but view finder shaky tongue.gif

Hoping one day can hug the 70-200 VR home laugh.gif

yesterday did, shooting. with 50mm in indoor sort of studio but not studio (because the place is too narrow). damn! doh.gif
50mm couldn't give enough space for the model. I end up using my friends 18-105. -.-'

does 1337 determine year or range of the lens like 13-37mm? brows.gif joking!
That time just practice ma, my PP skill still sucks anyway.
but the weird thing is my model like it very much, it seems working.. tongue.gif
too lucky to be told.
I haven't spam any of the finale version in lowyat anyway. tongue.gif

anyway NikonRumors said Nikon is working hard to release their product on schedule, there you go D800 wanna be owner tongue.gif

I could be the EVIL systems wink.gif

Canon have not announced any new systems up to now, frankly there is no urgency for Nikon to rush out their new system as even their head to head competitor has not announced anything.

My point is they are not pressured to announce anything new at the moment. If their current product still capture market, they can still reserve the replacements ;-)
