for long term go for D7000 because the button at the body is makes you easier to acess and change the setting, D5100 is harder if you get used with the fast change phase....

(PS: better you go to BTS nikon center to try it out, i tried D3100 and i got hard time for adjust some setting.)

Even after getting used to my D90, it's harder to control a D3000 when someone hand me on to snap their pics.

Guys, I have some questions here about the 85mm f1.4G.

1. How's the performance at wide open compared to 70-200 VRII at wide open?

2. How different is the performance when used by D90 & D700? Does it affect the sharpness and etc? What does D700 gives to the image quality compared to D90?

3. How much is the price now? Has it really increasef? hmm.gif

2. Full frame body would give much more bokeh due to the bigger sensor BUT i'm not quite sure since there's a lens created for FX body only. given u still insist using it with DX lens there would probably had a black circles around the pictures ( forget the proper name for it :<)

I see, the only difference is bokeh? Because of the focal length right? Can see the difference clearly? Ohh btw it's called Vignetting smile.gif

So you're talking about 70200 shoot at f/2.8 versus 85mm shot at f/1.4? The 70200 sure sharper ._.
*
Yes. Oh rlly? I thought primes are sharper at wide open. Is it because of the DOF or? hmm.gif

I don't trust the other focus points. I only use(well, most of the time) the center one then recompose doh.gif

Which is better for outdoor potraits, 70-200 VR1 or 85 1.4G? And is it a lot of difference between 80-200 two touch & 70-200 VR1 in terms of sharpness & contrast?

Poisoned by the bokeh of 85 f1.4 day by day. The reason I bought the 80-200 f2.8 is for the bokeh, now I'm in doubt again hmm.gif

Love the contrast! Is it because of the lens or editing? smile.gif

Guys, I wanna ask, is there a drastic difference between image quality when using same lens but different body? For example D90 + 85 f1.4 against D700 + 85 1.4.

Okay, the AF noise really irritating... on the D7000 also same thing?

I think it's because of the lens right? That's why a lot of people prefers manual focus.
