Having a normal i7 would be more than enough, spending the money on an SSD would be the better pick considering the M14x can get real hot under load laugh.gif
Getting a more powerful CPU will only mean more heat (personal experience tongue.gif ) sad.gif

just installed HD6970 on my m15x by sifu kelvin... rclxm9.gif performance sooo damn goood tongue.gif but max heat is 86C.. is it normal or hot..

what compound u use? or maybe the contact between the heatsink and the gpu is not good? the pressure not strong enough?

I need to upgrade my Alienware m15x graphic card. 260m is old.
Any recommendation? That will work with m15x laptop?
Someone can help? Installation as well. Living in KL btw.
