QUOTE(pelvin @ Nov 19 2011, 06:10 PM) just installed HD6970 on my m15x by sifu kelvin... QUOTE(pelvin @ Nov 19 2011, 08:21 PM) yeah baby!! play bf3 in ultra and high mixed setting now! damn nice.!!! hehe Congrats bro. Yeah with the new card really revive our M15x! Worth the upgrade for sure coming from a 1GB DDR 5 to a 2GB DDR5. Anyways the temps differ for me as my my Thermal DIode temps have reached max of 89c and my MeMIo has reached max of 95c at the same time when im stressing the GPU with max DX-11 settings on CRYSIS 2 and METRO2033. Other than that check for ur throttling issues if any and whether you card starts up on stealth mode settings. You need GPuz for that. Your game will perform slower when ur clocks are down to 400/900 .ps: thanks for the recommendation jul_chin QUOTE(Rei7 @ Nov 20 2011, 05:20 PM) I need to upgrade my Alienware m15x graphic card. 260m is old. For those using old version i7 u may need this tools to stop all throttle on "heat, voltage"
all review u may refer to below 2 link. p/s: a better cooling pad and aircon needed and higher watt ac adaptor needed for my personal advises. Throttle Stop Performance ThrottleStop Guide For M15x with atil6970m ot 6990m 150watt ac adaptor is more den enug juice for it. unless u go for GTX580m |

QUOTE(Pro3363 @ Nov 21 2011, 01:53 PM) Yup, Mushkin start selling single 8GB SoDimm 1600 now,Add RM1k, u got 16 GB today Even older machine still un-officially support 16gb, as long as u use x64 architecture. But seems the benefit is goes more to digital & 3D artist than to gamer.. Still, is a good thing... Gonna wait till the price lowered a bit, and gonna get pair for myself, hehe Added on November 21, 2011, 2:49 pm QUOTE(putochip123 @ Nov 21 2011, 02:25 AM) I thought latest BIOS already optimized for it?
