QUOTE(cy-yang @ Sep 2 2011, 03:23 AM) QUOTE(julchin_09 @ Sep 2 2011, 03:28 AM) The lat time Doc mentioned, the R-1 is limited in updating to the newer 6000 series cards. As far as I know, only the M17x-r2 is capable of taking these newer cards with the possibility of 2 2GB Gpus at a time, of course with the help of dual PSU's running parallel into the system... (Kelvin-Hata) Unfortunately yea, there is no further BIOS support for newest GPU dedicated to our motherboard. No one officially try with ATi HD6970/6990 yet tho.If you are around Penang area, you can PM Kelvin_Hata for the meet up. I am sure that kind gentelman willing to offer you free trial to our motherboard. I'd received the offer from him previously but no transport to there QUOTE(cy-yang @ Sep 2 2011, 03:31 AM) So far, yes. I am sad that we are missing the awesome effect of DirectX11 Thats the major downside that we are currently face. QUOTE(julchin_09 @ Sep 2 2011, 03:36 AM) GTX285M undergo slight micro-architecture adaptation toward i7 motherboard. Only minor performance increment with lack of Dx11 support (basically its GTX280M + little boast by overclocking) /still at Kampung eating satey |

QUOTE(UnitedBalls @ Sep 2 2011, 10:49 AM) Wow, k thanks bro, hopefully after I dissemble I will remember how to put it back...any precautions I have to take note? Here you can refer the manual on how to open it up. http://docs.us.dell.com/support/edocs/SYST...en/SM/index.htmGet some space and perfect tools, be sure to ground yourself. Do it when you have plenty of time. Good luck. |

Also I found out that its the Stealth mode which is causing the issue. When my pc starts and I open the HWInfo software it shows 400/900. Then I press the stealth button to go into stealth mode, then press again to go back to normal. Open the same software again and its back to normal. Im using Artic Cooling MX2. I bought it early last year when I installed the ATI 5870 into my system. My ATI 5870 trade in. No point having it with me. I already have an extra GTX 260M in my closet lols.anyway enjoy ur new card,ur 5870 sell ? hehe QUOTE(Mr.Docter @ Sep 2 2011, 10:22 AM) Unfortunately yea, there is no further BIOS support for newest GPU dedicated to our motherboard. long time didnt drop by.
anyways, i was thinking why u guys didnt compile modding info on 1st page? perhaps can compile it under technical support quote box. in technical support quote box maybe can list down technical problems with solution too. link to page will do i guess. perhaps can link it up to dell forum as well. been digging info regarding alienware display & still couldnt find detailed info about it. all i could remember my m15x display maker is LG, but not sure about the model. have anyone here ever tried connecting ur laptop to 1920x1200 & above monitor? does it work? cuz i was thinking of getting an IPS monitor but noticed that the native resolution for dell 24" is 1920x1200. worried my nvidia 260M GT cant support it. |
