They have turned the mall into offices for Pacific Mutual and there is a college (some engineering one...forgot name). Econsave business is also good and the restauant is virtually packed every week.

yep. the mall is catching up.
the back of the mall facing river quite alive.
the mall front facing the housing area quite dead.
they should reverse the back become the front door of the mall. much much easy access.
salah fengsui planning and facing from the start.

Inside the mall is more than half dead. The management of the mall should give at least 2 years free rental to attract tenants rather than leaving so many vacant lots. If not, it gonna be difficult to meet operating costs in the long run.

Everyday many INCONSIDERATE people park their cars illegally along both side of road shoulder in SS2/72. Now three lanes became 1.5 lanes ,dangerous also.

The mall has widened the entrance and exit of the car park ramp, this is one thing that they did right. Other moves like promotional activities (singers, shows for kids, temporary stalls etc) not working that well to pull the crowd. The foreigner owners don't understand malaysia market.

As can see the SS2 mall since it open begin of the year until now almost 1/2 a year already, the % taken up is so low, look like nobody willing to rent any of those vacant units. So many empty/vacant lots. The place looks like a failure.

nobody wants to rent and no renovation at all in any of the lots. another white elephant.

Alot of malls and office are vacant in alot of area not only ss2 mall. Many people buy but difficult to rent out even condo/houses for investment.

maybe a glut , what do u think?

Old video, but unfortunately it's not any better now. Whoever said that this mall is picking up hasn't been there.
This mall needs to close, rebrand and open with new management. As it is now it will never ever prosper.
