how to know our rom is odex or deodex? and how to change to deodex?

I can't send MMS at all. always got the message, "service not available". Stock JVB. applied all APN setting mentioned.

All stock rom is odex and all custom rom is deodexed. if you have those basic knowledge in coding and linux system, probably you can deodex the rom. it's only the devs in the xda can do it tho. and as far as i know, people usually go to deodex rom cause the capability to theme your system. that's all.

do you check the use packet data box?

Added on April 21, 2011, 8:20 amif you got root explorer. go to system/app, if you see .odex, then it is odex rom, if deodex, no more .odex

there are programs to deodex app and framework, but not all app can be deodex correctly using program, only rom builder know how to deodex the best way

I just bought this phone last week, and I had read through most of SGS thread from v1 and the instructions from all the sifus here,

The situation now, I tried to install speedmod kernell my SGS with instructions from http://touristinparadise.blogspot.com/2010...to-install.html.

But, after reboot, my SGS just stuck at S logo,
Then I tried to
1.factory reset,
2.wipe date,
3.backup,
4.go to recovery 3e and factory reset,

but all doesn't works.

Can anybody please help me..or just give any retails that I can go to fix my SGS.
FYI, I bought the AP set with 8g.

what is ur firmware? if u follow the guide, mostly likely u wont fail to do it unless there is something missing..

is this correct? because mine still cannot send mms... even after check packet data.. APN Type i changed to MMS.

i dont think the name there have combo, try delete that combo and try again?

Quran i havent search for one yet, but i am using Prayer times pro, got qiblat direction quite accurate, but for the times, i compare it with the newspaper, got 4-5 minute early/late, dont know how to adjust

If we have stable CM7 and MIUI. then it'll be enough

u can try search from market for mysolat it sync the time from e-Solat -- www.e-solat.gov.my

im on goatrip 1.7
had this same problem when was on stock XWJVB
then i updated to goatrip 1.7 wipe
so everything was ok for like 2 days..then today woke up with this!
all i can remember yesterday is downloading alot of games
