Hi
Need help, i deposited RM3K into SSPN account in 2009 to claim the tax deduction.

If I want to claim the same in 2010, should I top-up the account with another 3K to total 6K or I just maintain 3K balance will do?

Thanks in advance
*
Of course top-up another RM3000 to get maximum relief for SSPN portion.

QUOTE(leahcim @ Apr 15 2010, 04:32 AM)
guys, got some quick question to ask on filling e-BE form.  notworthy.gif

on my EA form under section A listed my rough income and parking allowance
and then the parking allowance is also listed under section G which inform that it's tax exempted

so when filling up my e-BE form under Pendapatan Berkanun dan Jumlah Pendapatan for the part Pengajian.

1) what figure should i key in?
a) do i key in the total income including with my parking allowance or the total income after minus out my parking allowance?

2) if i put the total income including with my parking allowance for Pengajian then where do i key in the parking allowance for rebate?
*
Does adding the Parking Allowance in Section A + Section G = total Parking Allowance received ?
Figures under Section G DO NOT need to be entered, it is there for reference.

Figures in Section G IS NOT REQUIRED to be fill up anywhere in the e-Filling. It's on the EA for reference later in case of being audited.

Do we keep those TM bills for Broadband tax relief for YA2010 ?
Do we need to keep proof of payment along (i.e. printout from m2u payment confirmation)

We should all declared more on the TP1 form to ensure the Govt don't take as much.

What is the TP1 form?
*
An employee can submit claims for rebates such as parents’ medical bills, purchase of a computer, tertiary education fees, medical check-ups, and book and sports equipment purchases to his employer every month using the PCB/TP1 form.

If I bought a computer in October 2007, do I need to wait until October 2010 before I can claim again?

As far as I understand it, it is once every 3 years but not necessary to be exactly 36 months.........  hmm.gif
*
It's based on the year of purchase... You can claim YA2007, YA2010, YA2013, YA2016.... hopefully they change bi-annually..hehehe

I received this
(X) LDHNM perlu membuat semakan lanjut ke atas pengiraan cukai Tahun Taksiran 2009 yang tuan kemukakan. Piuhak Tuan akan dihubungi sekiranya maklumat tambahan diperlukan.

Do I have to be 'prepared'? rclxub.gif
*
You should have been prepared with all documents everytime you submit your tax form.
Don't tell me you throw everything away, right ?

Hi all,

I have a question. Tried Google but couldn't find the answer.

Is a critical illness policy categorised under life or medical/healthcare insurance, for tax purposes?
*
Depends on the how your insurance company categorise it based on the tax relief statement from them at the end of the year.

But an insurance agent told me both personal accident insurance and critical illnesses insurance are entitled to tax relief, under medical insurance/education category. Now I'm confused  rclxub.gif
*
It depends on how the Insurance Company generate the receipt for Tax relief at the end of the year.

QUOTE(kayap00 @ Nov 2 2010, 10:28 AM)
Question : Deduction for book (max.RM500)

Next year is my 1st year submit my income tax, just wanna know that :
Is it apply for ANY bookshop and ANY type of book ?

Thanks
*
Actually the deduction for Books/Magazines are up to RM1000 per year.

The receipt must right BUKU/BOOKS or MAJALAH/MAGAZINES to make it easier for IRB to scan thru.
If you buy from Popular, MPH, Borders, you notice these words written next to the item you bought.

No X-rated books/magazines... Manga/comics is OK.

*
Whatever books/magazine you buy within Malaysia is ok to claim... if you order X-rated books/magazine from Amazon, then cannot claim lor
