QUOTE(ronnie @ Apr 7 2011, 08:32 AM) You can choose one of the receipts only... logically select the RM2000 notebook. Thanks Ronnie. So If I bought the two notebooks with both in the same bill, only then I can claim for the full RM3000 deduction? If you had planned to use the PC purchase as Tax Relief, you should have bought >RM3000 notebook instead. This why Tax Planning is crucial. |

The notice is really not clear. Say a joint property. Total interest paid for the year = RM10,000 Person A claim RM5,000 + Person B claim RM5,000 OR; Person A claim RM10,000 + Person B claim RM10,000 OR; Person A claim RM10,000 or Person B claim RM10,000 ? |

QUOTE(Chester @ Apr 7 2011, 09:50 PM) http://www.nbc.com.my/files/housing-loan-tax-relief.pdf See whether this will helps. Max relief per year definitely is RM10,000.The notice is really not clear. If you have 3 person serving interest: A:RM5,000, B:RM3,000, C:RM2,000. Each of them claim according to their portion. If total interest paid in that year is RM20,000; A:RM10,000, B:RM7,000, C:RM3,000. A will claim 50% (RM10,000/RM20,000) of the relief -> 50% x RM10,000 = RM5,000; B will claim 35% (RM7,000/RM20,000) of the relief -> 35% x RM10,000 = RM3,500; Same basis for C. I'm tax exempted seaman working on a malaysian registered vessel. My company deducted PCB every working month and as told by LHDN email that i don't have apply for special case to get back the PCB that i had paid. Their instruction is fill up the BE form and with supporting document. They not been really helpful with listing out what documents i need and how do fill out the BE form.
