hello.!

this is my first time to declare income tax, so I have questions on how to do this.

I worked as a freelancer, and I am not tied to any particular company, so I have to declare on my own.

Should I go to LHDN's office? Or can I submit it it e-filling?

Or should I download the form from the internet and then submit it myself at LHDN's office?

Which form should I use?

Anyway, the form looks complicated. Should I get a tax agent?

Thanks in advance.

No. It is already deducted in section B.
Suggest u to breakdown items B using ur pay slip in Excel then counter check it. AMout in ur payslip - 2400 = total of section B

Added on April 1, 2009, 11:47 pmGo LHDN open file first.

Prepare your account, Proft and Lost statement. Then use borang B. U can submit by June.
It is not that complicated once you have the P&L statement. You can get a freelance accountant to do the P&L if you are not good in accounting. Usually they charge few hundred if you don;t have a lot of transaction.

Hello!

Means I have to go LHDN personally and open account? Then would they help me from there?

Thank you. smile.gif

1st thing, go to nearest LHDN office to get the access.

2nd thing, after that, login and start key in the numbers based on the EA statement.

3rd thing, if you have relief for deductions, enter those too.

For personal relieves & rebates, refer to: http://www.hasil.gov.my/goindex.php?kump=5...3&unit=1&sequ=1

It's called self-assessment. You have to do it yourself after obtaining. Of course, you can do that at the LHDN office with the guidance of those staffs over there.
I'm aware of other channels for PIN application but to be at the safer side, just settle everything at LHDN office. biggrin.gif

EA form is for you to keep at least 7 years.

You're returning BE form (called e-BE) through e-filing for employment. B form is for those who do business.

oh.... thank you for the information.

so no matter how also i must go to LHDN's office 1st??

All deductable receipts that you put in the e-filling must keep for 7 years included your EA form that your company gave you.

Going to LHDN office is your choice.  Maybe you can have a friendly chat with them, then you learn more. laugh.gif

hehehe. maybe i should just e-mail them for the pin. think think also abit lazy wanna go there. hahaha

I think now can even get e-filing code by just:-

DI MANA ANDA BOLEH MENDAPATKAN/MENYEMAK  NO. PIN?

NO. PIN boleh di dapati melalui:
1.Cawangan LHDNM yang berdekatan
2.Melalui surat, faks atau e-mel* kepada
mana mana cawangan LHDNM yang berdekatan
          Perlu disertakan:
          i. No.Rujukan Cukai
          ii. Alamat terkini
          iii. Salinan Kad Pengenalan
              (muka depan dan belakang)
3.Semakan secara online bagi Pembayar Cukai yang
mendaftarkan No. Cukai Pendapatan melalui e-Daftar

*Sila hantarkan permohonan anda ke pin@hasil.gov.my

LDHN is improving...

Added on March 29, 2011, 10:32 pmI got the English version:-

Apply e-Filing PIN

For PIN number application by e-mail to pin@hasil.gov.my, please use the applicant’s own e-mail address and attach the following :-

    * Tax reference number
    * Current address
    * Copy of MyKad (front and back)
    * Telephone number

** Application for PIN number through third party e-mail will not be entertained.
*
Back to this, how do we provide the copy of My Kad? scan it?? can use camera and take the picture or not??? hmm.gif

This one... I think, if we do not furnish income tax reference number to HR, they wont know our no and most likely will not appear in EA form.

I check already, dun have the number woh.... looks like I have to go LHDN office also blink.gif

(1st timer apa also dunno)

They should teach us this in school. tongue.gif

It appears that we can get our No rujukan cukai via e-daftar (http://ekl.hasil.org.my/) . Tomorrow I'm going to give it a try. Now Zzzz 1st.

I mentioned earlier that first e-filing tax payer can register online... well this is for those already with tax number.  As for those without tax number, you have to go to the nearest tax department to fill a form and get your tax number before you can do e-filing.  Sorry for the mistakes.  notworthy.gif
*
actually those without tax number also can register online via e-daftar/e-register. Just complete the e-daftar form and send in your copy of IC. Once they process your application, they will give you your tax reference number and your e-filling pin number.

Hope that helps.

I don't think that affects much.

So, just ignore it? Or should I e-mail them?? It won't effect the jumlah cukai though.
