I actually learnt minor trick from youtube buffer problem, just keep refreshing the youtube page until the video loads within 1 sec then you're good to stream. Not sure why, but it does helps.

I knew this trick. But that day my 4mbps only yielded up to 512kbps speed. So this trick is not working.

better u stick with 2mbps but if u upgraded to 4mbps package it will add u more to upload speed only max 512kbps
example: Streamyx 2.0Mbps 2.0Mbps 384kbps RM188 [with modem]
Streamyx 4.0Mbps 4.0Mbps 512kbps RM268 [with modem]

I suggest you go for Fiber Internet instead of Streamyx. I've been using Streamyx 4MB for years (across 2 different locations) and the speed/latency/stability depends on the area. I just upgraded to Maxis recently.

Did you file a complaint yet? You're paying 4mbps but get 2mbps. Something need to be done there.

i installed 4Mbps for almost a month already i think...line has been pretty stable so far...consistently achieve 4Mbps...actually my line can go up to 8Mbps according to the TM contractor...but too bad only got 4Mbps max for the package...

and when i request to upgrade, no such thing as no more port etc... the contractor just come to my house and then he did something with the internet setup and then very fast already change to 4Mbps...

smile.gif so far so good... love this 4Mbps line since i don't want a lot of drilling and exposed wiring for the Unifi... sad.gif

Added on July 22, 2012, 10:31 pmi always use speedtest and always very consistent get 4Mbps... it will go over 4Mbps but eventually will be near 4Mbps...

Guys, can you please compare 4mbps speed test from TM speedometer and P1 speedometer and post the results here?

My 4mbps seems slow today. TM technician came to test and he insist on using TM speedometer, which showed my line is normal (which I think is BS since the speedometer is a fraud). I tested with P1 speedtest and speedtest.net and the results showed the speed less than 1mbps for download. Normally the speed is more than 4mbps. Watch youtube also stuck here and there. I explain to the technician but he just said other speedometer is not accurate. BS.
