I not face any SOD after 2 month use.
*
My SGA is 3 weeks old and experienced 3 times SOD do far. What I noticed the SOD happened could be due
to Wifi which also claimed by other forumer. But I really wonder how could Wifi can cause the SOD or any other problem?

It's very scary and frustrated when you found that the phone has OFF by itself without knowing it.
Any solution so far to counter it?

Depends on luck. I believe that the SOD occurs on some but NOT all Aces.

Guys, this phone only has 158MB internal memory...Does it enough? As I known many applications can't save into the external memory card...Is it true?

Only faced 1 time SOD at first/second day when the phone reached in my hand, other than that it been working perfectly. Claimed warranty at fourth day due to screen faulty, and it came back just like a brand new phone.
Hope it will continue to stay at tip-top condition laugh.gif

Waiting official 2.3 Gingerbread to release in the meantime icon_rolleyes.gif
Was considering to trade-in for Galaxy SL but cancelled in my mind, doesn't really need it but hoping to get flash support in Galaxy Ace and smooth HD videos playback but guess it may never happen. cry.gif
Btw, Ace design looks better than SL in my personal view whistling.gif

Tried few brand matte screen protector and Nillkin was good for me, it having full cover included the sensor part. Does it reduce the accelerometer sensor sensitivity?
Last time having acceleromter sensor problem and I teared off my previous Nillkin screen protector and found out actually it was the setting problem doh.gif

what does sp has to do with accelerometer. AFAIK accelerometer is the component that senses your phone tilting, used in most, of not all racing sim games.

Been experiencing daily SODs since the third day after purchase. Tried out everything, hard reset, revert to factory settings, wifi sleep set to never, still no improvement, still experiencing SOD once to thrice every 24 hours. I figured Before the SODs started, I haven't plugged into Kies to update my firmware. The next day after updating to KC1, the SODs started. I noticed none of the users with the old KA9 firmware were complaining about SODs. So I brought my phone to the samsung center a couple of hours ago to have them revert it to the KA9 firmware. I'll let you guys know if this works. I hope it does. smile.gif

Anyone using 16GB microSD memory card in this phone? Is it ok for 16GB? Will feel lag or any side effect?
*
i do. using class 4 16gig. only noticable problem is after i restart the phone, is will take quite long time(5minutes at least) to load all program which installed in SD card. im not sure if its the same if using lower capacity of microSD.
in term of reading speed, no difference

wow sounds like there's going to be a promise official gingerbread release in future for SGA...

i read some comment in http://www.samfirmware.com/ bout SGA Gingerbread EUR, here are the problems i found from there:-
- No auto-focus on camera. Only macro.
- Wifi Doesn't work.
- Cannot root. Superoneclick doesn't work.
wanna double confirm bout these problems from SGA user who already flash into Gingerbread

if we already flashed into 2.3.3, we still can flash back to 2.2.1? ehehe goin to try this if we can flash back to froyo.. tongue.gif

To all SGA user, particularly for those having SOD problem and here we are talking and talking about it endlessly
but does anyone complain to our SAMSUNG MALAYSIA taiko out there? I can bet they wouldn't know this problem for this phone.

We must tell the whole world about this freaking "Sudden Of Death" , at least they are awared and come out a solution to counter it.

i totally agree... why no one seems to bother to bring their phone to SAMSUNG...
is it because SGA is their only phone?

Frankly, Samsung CS are not that good in handling customer complain.
Last month I asked regarding the back cover where newer batch got 2 while earlier only got 1, actually I thought they might inform like those with serial n.o starting from (example ABCXXX) got 2.
Kind of frustrated when they ask me to go back to the dealer, even though I informed maybe the dealer cheated me?

As for the SOD matter, Samsung should have conducted testing by themselves since many users complained, not by requesting to send back unless they think this matter is just isolated case.
