guys, any news of the official GB update?

ran into a problem here. I need to use froyo back. the GB experience is kinda bad for me. i swype a lot n swype on GB is unbearable! okay, here's the low down, i downloaded ddkc1 firmware from samfirmware and all i got is

amss
boot.img
csc.rfs
recovery.img
system.rfs

it says here that I need to use Odin, fine. OPS file also got from samfirmware, but then, for boot, phone, PDA and CSC they only accept .tar or .md5 type files only whereas the ones I have are those above. I tried loading them manually, but Odin said "invalid model binary" should I just run it or can I not revert back to froyo now? help pls

which service provider you are using? Digi, Maxis or others? As I know the lowest is RM 38 per month. How come you can get RM 18?

Btw, if im using Maxis as my main line, can i use Digi for Data Plan?

You should not extracted the tar file.

If you have multiple tar files, then you can load accordingly to PDA, Phone and CSC. If only one tar file, then use one package option (be sure to check the one package check box)

im using maxis postpaid line.. yeah i find it enough..i download just whatsapp,facebook,twitter,task killer and lookout security.. i dont download games on it..cause i have my ipod touch to do that

get this phone.. its superb in its value..and the functions are great..i decided to have this phone cause its less than rm1k + ANDROID!

Hi, Ace user since last week.
but encounter some issue, my Notification ringtone unable to change to other, even i set to other tone, eg:I get from Zedge's mario, but still get Bubble tone when receive sms..
Anyone get this issue? Please advise.. thanks

It's there on the same page of the firmware. Called "OPS File - Download"

hi...
1st, i assume u already save ur ringtone file in to /sdcard/notifications folder.
then, go to settings > sound > notification ringtone and chooese de ringtone u wan.
until tis step, all ur notification ringtone would be de ringtone tat u choosen, included ur sms notification ringtone.
to set ur sms ringtone, u need to go sms, tap manu > settings > select ringtone and choose de ringtone u wan.
if still not working, u can try to reboot ur phone, and shud be alrite adi.

the default scaling is ondemand, but which scaling is de most optimized scaling for the phone tat save phone battery witout sacrificing performance? conservation? userspace? performance( tis 1 theoretically would drain power)?
i have tried powersave and it obviously loses the performance.
or make my own profile? if so, how to set it to be de most optimized 1?

yea2, i got that. It won't reboot. Not from Odin, not from pressing of button, and it won't boot by removing the battery and reinserting it back in and turning on. I had already feared I bricked the phone, but then, it can go to download mode. thank god.

now back to GB also.. hahaha!

change your network to DiGi but use back the same number

after going through pages seems that theres a number of problems such as SOD and other issues here and there. so im hesitating if its still worth it to get this. what do u users honestly think?
