Juz wanna ask...
Wld it make any difference to Signal Strength/ Reception @ Bypnd PVR if co-axial cable fr Sat Dish to it is shortened by a few metres?? Can improve PQ by cutting,,,less resistance? Anyone knows? Pls advice. TQ in adv. NB. Installer did NOT cut/shorten but coiled up the xtra length of the 20M coil used b4 connecting to PVR. I think you are right but my installer came just now and insist it is my cable causing signal strength weak. But it's been fine until today. |

Hi! To clarify a few things..,
1. Feel condition & even length of co-axial cables do affect Byond reception & Signal Strength. I juz shortened my cables by a few metres & Signal Strength improved by up to 8 points ie fr 154 to 158!! 2. Re when HDD in PVR is full, it can b set for Auto delete FIFO recording, give Warning or for Manual delete. Yr choice... Hv a good wkend & enjoy yr PVRs!  Added on July 30, 2011, 9:57 pmps. Juz2share...
Had first power failure in hse since got Byond PVR! PVR rebooted when power returned. Took only abt a min. After-effects : 1. The Channel displayed first became 107 ie NTV7!! Any idea why? 2. On chk-ing, in Sat. Info, Tuner 2 which has been UNlocked became Locked & Quality was displayed as 100% ( there was NO display of Quality value b4 reboot!) Guess Byond PVR users hv a lot to learn...  |
