QUOTE(UFO @ Jul 9 2011, 10:41 PM) Hi , I am changing to Super Pack package with PVR recording Box but facing the cable wall-concealed problem, but the Astro Installer offer these 2 options: I believe there is some dB drop in the signal when SDS is installed. Ask the installer to install line amp too.....A. Wall Drilling with new cable = RM 150 installation fee B. Buy SDS device with minimal or without drilling = RM 300 for SDS (life-time warranty) + RM 150 installation fee. I opt for choice B but they said need to book the SDS device. Are they any of you use this SDS, will it affect the performance & signal quality during rain...? BTW is it worth it since I can't find much info of this SDS in astro website. |

QUOTE(Qash-M @ Jul 11 2011, 10:16 PM) At least RTM give a sign about HD, Media Prima hardly gives clue about HD... Maybe HD is not financially feasible for them for the time being as only astro supports HD and digital switchover is not even started, as if it takes forever to test digital TV |

QUOTE(square90 @ Jul 12 2011, 10:34 AM) hello. which one has better quality: This is just my experience, I prefer the SD channels from old decoder. The Byond decoder has about 10-20% PQ drop, just my view.1) SD channel using old astro decoder on HDTV 2) SD channel using astro b.yond on HDTV ? But after some time, I got adjusted to it, since there is nothing to compare with |

my SD channels on my Sony HDTV is not good man especially TV3. I read somewhere in this thread to use the composite cable to get a better quality of the pic on d tv but im really lazy to change the setting everytime wana watch it. I feel really satisfied with the HD channels especially the Discoverey HD and NG HD but SD channels, urghhh F em.
