new installation or upgrade from previous decoder? if im not mistaken the rm150 promo does not apply for new installation. but correct me if im wrong

Insists taht ur account is activated before the installer leaves ur home..dont take his word that it would be activated in the next 24 hours or etc..ask him to call astro and activate on the spot or risk not getting to watch ur astro for at least 24 hours..

Why some ASSTHROW installer does not activate the service on the spot?  Any conspiracy theory issit?

eh..bukan rm150 shaja ke cas byond pvr untill sept 2011..r u using the old dekoder or byond dekoder?

Go get the SuperPack 1/2/3 to get all services included like PVR and HD
Now it's RM150 for installation fee for B.yond PVR (usual is RM300 installation fee).

Thanks for the suggestion, and I do think its a good deal for those who needs it.

Currently, I do only RM79 (with new increase RM89) +20 for HD = rm110, so with the above its RM150 monthly, the difference of RM40, which I dont feel is justified, at the moment, just my POV.

Cabinet rejects Astro's rate hike

KUALA LUMPUR: The Cabinet has decided not to allow pay TV station Astro to raise its rates until the company gets clearance from the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission.

Information, Communication and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim said the matter was discussed at Friday's Cabinet meeting and it was felt the time was not appropriate for Astro to raise its rate.

"I agreed that Astro's rates could only be hiked with MCMC's approval and that any hikes must be reasonable and conform to the law," he told reporters after chairing his ministry's post-Cabinet meeting at Angkasapuri here. - Bernama

so today is 5th day dy, still no astro confirmation for my subscription fr a.beyond...2molo gonna go astro centre...

I thought you have to wait about a week, before they contact you? Thats what I was told.

This morning (6.30am) I turned off the B.yond PVR Decoder, while in standby mode.. Just now when switch on again, the Info Banner appears in the middle of the screen.

How to resolve this ?

What does the info banner says?

Call the Astro CS at 1300 82 3838 to upgrade to SuperPack. IF you don't switch to SuperPack, you would pay higher monthly fee only.
A letter would send to your address.
Which decoder type are you using now ?
