If my TV does not process Dolby Digital, I cannot select Dolby Digital but Stereo, only ?

you can select, but not sound will be heard

Beside Assthrow, a good amp will help to make the sound better in quality.

Hi guys, today i just went to astro centre to subscribe astro beyond and the rm155 super pack 3.....so my question is, can astro beyond connect to lcd monitor with hdmi input (dun have hdtv yet)...anyone tried it before...

There's such thing as a HDMI to DVI converter if your lcd monitor has a DVI connector. The important thing is that your monitor must have HDCP support or you won't be able to see any video using the HDMI connection from the Astro Byond box.

Using AV won't get you HD. Only HDMI can be used to see HD.

yup my lcd monitor got HDCP support and got both hdmi and dvi input...i use it for ps3 gaming...

now have to wait 3+ weeks for the installer to come.... too many people change to a.beyond here at Sabah...

you misunderstood, AV mode for monitor is not AV input

I think switching to PC mode, the monitor will have no over-scan
AV mode will have over-scan

Yes Sundance is on Movie Pack channel 438.no doubts abt it.

4-5 more days for new HD channel. Can't wait

2 HD channels rite? Assthrow can simply launch the new channels after 1st July.. so not necessary 4-5 more days..

I guess better put B.yond on standby for the new channels come July 2011.

When we use the B.yond Remote to turn off the Toshiba Plasma TV, it works.
But when you turn it on using B.yond Remote, it goes to Channel 1 (of the TV), instead of HDMI1.

How to solve this ?

How do you know what is the channel number is 438 for Sundance ?
It's not even listed in the Astro Guide July 2011

That is the bug of the b.yond remote.
Workaround: Use the tv remote
