just now i got a phone call from 03-20267949, her story is.. :

she is miss wu from AEON Credit Card Center KL.
she said that i "have" a gold card with credit limit 10k
haven't paid for 3 month and AEON wanna sue me if i not pay.

i was scared and confuse...i ask for details and she gave me:

5460750048601830 as my so called çc
applied on 5/5/2011 at aeon JB branch
issued on 30/5/2011
mailing address is at 117, taman pelangi, 80720 JB (im from ipoh and never lived any where else except KL)
transaction date 2/6/2011 at sentosa, singapore (i dont even have a passport how come)

i was like damn.... ruin my puasa mood la... now got ppl use my ic pulak...

but it got suspicious when, i said i wanna make a police report 1st since my ic is used in this application...
miss wu kept telling me to call 03-27727300the dept of c.card fraud of Bank Negara. so that bank negara can issue a letter to cancel this card...

i was like... can u just cancel the card... since i am who i am you think of..ie the card owner...just cancel the card...
she kept saying kenot...need BNM approval... so was like... since when?...then she change subject like im in more deep trouble if the card is swiped more and i have to pay more...

when i got home...i get ready to go to the police station to make a report... then i was like... why dont i google for bank negara number instead.... and couldnt find the 03-27727300 on bnm site... the i googled the number and i was brought here to my fav forum...

matter solved....

thanks for all teh heads up...if not... i am well sure that i am the next victim in the statistic....

edit: called aeon.... my ic number is not even in their database...

damn...i got the same case like you just yesterday...everything the same only the credit card number is different..i was so scared got a call from BNM later even gave me the report number...what should i do now?

Last couple of days, my brother got a call from Zest Tour & Leisure company, my brother is 20 YO. She asked him if he have a CC, and never had any. then she asked for any cards that haveVISA logo on the card. And my brother got a maybank atm card with the visa logo.

Then the female operator keep asking many kind of question and some of them were very suspicious.
- card expiry date
- occupation
- status
- age
- address
- IC!
- CARD's ID NUMBER!

And belive or not, my brother REVEALED IT ALL to her!
He did that becoz the girl keep pretending talking nice and bla bla bla about the company and the good things they offered at no charge at all. She even gave him her full name, her ic, and their website.

so what should i do now? is my brother had been scammed? 

I have called the Customer Service and blocked my card..luckily no illegal transaction yet.

If it is a debit card, you can go check balance or call Customer Service (for both Credit and Debit Card) and see what they can do.

thanks bro Gen-X. If my bro had transferred all my money in that account to another bank, so there no worry they will steal our money, right??

if it is a debit card and there no money in the account, I guess there's nothing worry as far as money is concerned. But I think you should call CS and report and block the card or cancel the card. Luckily your brother told you in time before any damage was done.

yeah. i told him to transferred all his money in maybank to another account. should i report this matter to maybank or somewhere?

if u still worried, just go to maybank and ask for visa debit replacement card, u will be charged rm12 only.
just give reason hilang or patah or whatever.
the new card will still link to ur mbb acc, but its a new card.
with new number, new expiry date and new security code at the back.

tell me i got master card and default 3 months payment. but made mistake by saying RM XXXX.00 (zero sen, where got zero sen if didn't pay 3 months, don't charge interest ka?)

call hong leong and they couldn't find my information on their system.

cannot call back this number.

I've actually made an effort to call the hotline listed in the CPP page for Maybank:

It appears that this number is one of their sales representative according to them, unless the number listed in the page above is also fake la. Haha.
