when you open a savings account with them, and you are eligible for a credit card (applied together with the savings account), how long does it usually take before you receive the credit card?

My HSBC Amanah cc served me the Best...Last time Gold card or Platinum now  laugh.gif
So far NO Problem with me when Use it at Chinese Eatries like, Dragon-i (non-Halal Restaurent)
or Purchase Liquor Product in Duty-free Shop at Airport
Currently, more Flaxible or can said without any Problem at all compare with maybe 4-5 years ago  nod.gif

i checked this morning, there is an existing platinum card application online under my account and status is 'denied'. just confused coz the banker only applied cc for me today (late this afternoon).

i only applied for the visa gold. i called the the CS and told me no more gold card issued so auto upgrade to platinum. i know only classic is not already being issued. is their gold card also being stopped? why the banker did not inform me today if that is the case. then told me that it takes 2 weeks to check the status.

hsbc card. if i am correct the one with the declined status can be the online aplication i made which expires today if documents are not sent to branch.

coz if the declined one is the card i applied in the branch yesterday together with the visa gold, by right it should not have any status yet.
the branch did not consider my online application anymore.

Since You already have Maybank 2cards & OCBC Tit., why not You just retain Your HSBC Premier Card only coz as long as Premier Ac holder You can enjoy complimentary access to the Plaza Premium Lounge at the KLIA, No need to pay Annual Fee for the card, maybe also GST Free... brows.gif

As for Visa Signature can get 5x or 10x Reward Points on Local (mostly Parkson, the Garden) or Overseas Spend...just that their Reward points got 3 Validation Years period only...sad.gif & as for Maybank's Treats Points was Every Green with No Expired... thumbup.gif

for HSBC Amanah Card can get 0.5% cash back on all Retail Spend or 1% on Overseas Spend for Amanah Platinum-i...

Nothing Special with the HSBC Cards maybe got Free Travel Insurance... but the card's benefit not very Attractive if Compare with Maybank 2cards or OCBC Titianum.. This 2's so far definitely the Best... laugh.gif

So, Up to You to Decide.... tongue.gif

Yes. It comes with free Plaza Premium Lounge access (KLIA satellite terminal) BUT it is only applicable to the first 15667 cardholders that claim the free pass.

hello guys/gals,

received sms from hsbc that my card was approved and is on its way (though it's been days and yet to see the delivery) ... it was 1 of those days where the salesman at shopping complex offered you to check yr epf statement for free and subsequently beg you to help him with credit-card applications ...

somehow applied for 3 - standchart, rhb and hsbc - and all got approved ...

- standchart has promotion and with 15% petrol cash-back so is keeping for 6-mths to enjoy this temporary benefit while helping the sales fella earns his comm ...

- rhb - not attractive so has returned before activation ...

- hsbc - awaiting the card and researching its benefits ...

currently has citibank and direct access ... in order to revamp my credit cards, am thinking of cancelling direct-access while keeping citibank ...

question - is hsbc worth activating and keep it for usage? if yes, then i'll have citibank, standchart (usage only for 6 mths before cancel) and hsbc ...

your opinion please ...

cheers ...

additional notes: sms reply from the sales fella said while some banks do charge GST, RHB does not ... although i argued with him that it was govn that impose the GST and not bank ... anyway, will wait for further response from RHB (if any) to see if there's indeed a mandatory GST charge in my case scenario ... will update later ... rclxub.gif

thanx ...

Maybe YES... the RHB bank will give $50 GST Cash Back to You, But THIS usually Applies to NEW Card Approval Only... as 3's RHB Cardholder I know This nod.gif. They will Credit Back the $50 to your account in 3 months time... smile.gif

So...Pay $ 1st then Collect back later tongue.gif
