GB2.3 Miui Rom can play it smoothly

I think it's caused by the sdcard transfer speed limit,try find the sdcard cache ahead speedfix,set to 2048 should help (I think so )

planning to use atrix..
but afraid i will drop the atrix or accidentally put it in the water..
had been very careless with my defy but still strong

last 2 day ... my Defy fall down from 6 feet height ..

lucky not fall direct, fall from rack to table then on the floor ..


so what happened next?? phone restart .. then auto restart again after 15min. So i pull out the battery and reinsert and it work until now

haih.... Froyo is available already.... but my phone is still at the hospital due to the earpiece problem...

The whole process was seamless as I've only have ADW Launcher, and obviously my various other apps which includes SetVSel, Rooted, Titanium Backup etc.. I've upgraded from Eclair 2.59 SEA version straight to Froyo Official 2.2.2
No problems except I'll just need to reroot the phone, resend my contacts over... Other than that, all my application data are all still intact..

Hope this gives an idea to any of the bros out there who wanna upgrade the "official" way

BTW, the whole process took me less than an hour.. ie 30mins to download the update, 15mins to actually update it..

performance wise, any difference? hope the upgrade is not as screwed up as the milestone upgrade, which was really badly implemented. the eclair was better than the froyo for milestone!

my only complaint so far is about the text messaging app. it takes quite sometime to load, approx around 7-8 seconds. with eclair it opens instantly.

7-8 secs? that's really long.

if you use handcent, would it still lag the same?

Mine immediate juz like Eclair.. Even my ADW setting are all intact..

MY only complain is that it screwed up my contact where even if I restored the contacts back into the phone, I'm unable to search it especially if it's grouped differently.. Not sure where went wrong there now..

Can you post the "Setting > About Phone" screenshot because I want to confirm the build no.
The one that I got (flashing sbf using rsdlite) is JEM_3.4.3-36-1.

Can you share the sbf file

dont you guys use gmail as to save your contacts? i always do that, so whenever i flash or whatever, my contacts can still get from gmail

yup..can edit thru gmail also..much easier

Next, how do I extract the sbf.. Sorry I'm really noob although been having defy for so long.. Never came about to do anything especially with flashing and even backing them up.. Please drop a line or two on how to go about it and I'll try get it done


I wanted to, but my gmail is too "bloated" with other contacts.. and I will have to do something about it soon and sync with Outlook as well due to work requirements..

BTW, I used MyPhoneExplorer to backup all my contacts/sms/apps/files.. Simply because I've used it since the SE phones that I used to own..

or try find [ctrl+f] *.sbf from
C:\Program Files\Motorola\

I have downgraded again to eclair.
It is confirmed that my phone is downloading the indian version sbf (JEM_3.4.3-33-1).
