Guys, I have a very noob question here:

How can I utilize/install/use the nandroid? coz I wanted to flash LiquidArc ROM.

I have both the LiquidArc ROM & Nandroid 2.0.

I'd downloaded LiquidArc ROM from:
http://modmymobile.com/forums/640-motorola...-21-2011-a.html

But due to my noobness, I can't understand the instructions >_<

My main problem is the use of nandroid2.0

1) After downloading extract the nandroid backup and the sbf file. You will have 1) a folder called LiquidArc and 2) a sbf sheet. Better extract them on your desktop. (Easier to find)
2) If you rooted your phone and downloaded the system recovery from the STEP BY STEP FROM ECLAIR TO FROYO GUIDE, (on the front page of this forum) you will have a folder called goapkrev on your sd card. Place the LiquidArc folder in the sdcard/goapkrev/backup.
3) Open system recovery wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache and restore the LiquidArc nandroid backup.
4) when restore is complete pull battery out and place back in while holding the vol up and power button(bootloader mode)
5)Use rsdlite to flash the sbf
(6)Enjoy
Note: after signing in, select the launcher as default, let google restore your apps for you and when done reboot.

This is all I did and everything went as it should and am very happy with this rom. biggrin.gif
Ps. I never use Nandroid 2.0. so can't tell you anything about it. unsure.gif

Thanks alot!!! I'm gonna try it now~ =)

Mine i set

20/300
38/600
57/1000

Tried 52/1000, my phone straight away crashed and rebooted and entered a boot-loop since i enabled 'set on boot'. Removed my memory card and somehow the settings got reset so lucky for me there. Note to self: Next time when playing around with new OC adjustments, disable the 'apply on boot' laugh.gif

at 55/1000 it was unstable, at 56/1000 it was stable most of the times but occasional reboots. at 57/1000 it was stable and so far no reboots yet thumbup.gif rclxms.gif

and btw, Beta 6 is out! rclxm9.gif

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1033654

Bugs said to be fixed:

Auto-brightness level transition alot smoother and quicker like the original motorola firmware's auto-level transition drool.gif
-Mic when running on speakerphone fixed (reported by forumer, still there in the bug list on the first post.)
-LED Blinks when charging (like other Android phones. Apparently Motorola is the only company that disables LED when charging)
-Battery drain issue might be fixed (didn't encounter this in beta 5.1 so no idea what does this do)
-Wifi said to be more stable than beta 5

problems reported:
- CPU usage flies to 90% if you DISABLE auto-brightness blink.gif
- some reported battery drain is higher instead

anyway, downloading now while i sleep. tomorrow wake up and flash  laugh.gif
*
I guess different phone have different capability cpu, mine can run on 56/1100 with no unstable problem...
btw, I'm still using liqiudarc now... will be upgrade to CM7 soon... maybe when beta 7 release icon_rolleyes.gif

damn... i failed to flash the cm7 rc0 ROM...

can't access to SD card in recovery mode >_<

anyone can help??

I followed this guide, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1065798
using LiquidArc.

Step
- Power your phone with Volume Down pressed to enter Stock Recovery, then do "Wipe data/Factory reset" and "Wipe cache"
- Reboot from Stock Recovery with Volume Up pressed to enter Bootloader Mode, then open RSD Lite and flash Nordic
- Copy cm7.1.0-RC0-jordan-signed.zip, gapps-gb-20110307-signed.zip and SndInitDefy_1.4_2.apk to your SD Card
- Enable USB Debugging
- Root via SuperOneClick
- Reboot
- Install 2ndInit Recovey Installer via File Manager, go to the app and click "Install 2ndInit Recovery" button. Wait for the led turn green.
- Disable USB Debugging
- Reboot (you will have to select Boot -> Normal in bootmenu)
- Reboot again, this time select Recovery -> [Custom Recovery]
- Select "wipe cache partition" then "wipe data/factory reset" <- problem started here,
"No app2sd partition found. skiping format of /sd-ext.
formatiting sdcard:/.andriod_secure...
E:can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 (or /dev/block/mmcblk0)
(no such file or directory)
error mounting /sdcard/.andriud_secure!
skipping format...
data wipe complete.""

- Select "install zip from sdcard", "choose zip from sdcard", then select "cm7.1.0-RC0-jordan-signed.zip"
- Select "choose zip from sdcard", then select "gapps-gb-20110307-signed.zip"
You can install any other patches that you have now, like Swype or GPS Fix
- Select "+++++Go Back++++++" then "reboot your system now"

backup your file. reformat sd card n try again.

SD card format already. Still the same.
Can access in SD card with file manager. Just can't access in the recovery mode.

One more question, do i need to unmount the SD card first before using SuperOneClick?

Check to see your recovery put into correct folder maybe? 2 directories for different version of recovery
sdcard/goapkrev/backup
sdcard/clockworkmod/backup
*
I didn't put my backup in the appropriate location. But I can't even access into my SD card in the recovery mode.
