Here too, shake the phone yesterday and there is a sound, but not too loud.
For those who soak their phone in water,I want to ask will the water go into the earpiece?Cause the earpiece hole seems big and if its water resist,I really wonder how it works.Any idea guys?
*
I took my phone into the shower, dunked it into a bucket of ice water, put it in the sink.... heck, i even took it for a swim at a waterfall.... not a single drop of water went in the phone. earpiece doesn't seems to suffer any issues with water getting in, so i guess the answer is: "should be no problem". sweat.gif

Lol,I hope to have an Alza too.
Btw guys just now I tried running my phone under tap water cause my phone is abit of dirty. After that I open the back cover and find that there is actually water droplets inside, around the camera part.Any of you guys mind to try and open your back cover and see haha.
*
water around the camera lens is nothing lah. i think it is a complete sealed unit, so water won't go in anyway. like tyenfei said, the battery compartment is the crucial part. and i would recommend that you dry off the phone before opening up the battery compartment. wink.gif just to be safe.

Anyone has the motorola service centre contact number? I'm trying to find the service centre here in Kota Kinabalu but it looks like they had moved and did not update their address & contact details! doh.gif I'm hoping the service centre will know where is the service centre here in Kota Kinabalu, or at least the contact details. The previous service centre is located at Plaza Wawasan. If anyone has any information, that will be great help to me. Thanks a lot! thumbup.gif

Well, in the end, I brought the phone back to the shop where I bought it from. They agreed to arrange to help me send it in for warranty repair. And no, it is not at Wisma Merdeka, but at another building in town. I malas already, so instead asked them to help me send it in lah. Hopefully can be done quick. I miss my android already.... and yes, WM6.5 is killing me.

Oh, had a chance to play with LG's Optimus 2x. Damn poisonous lah.... but it is HUGE in comparison to my Defy. Very, very quick. But I managed to play with it maybe for around 5 to 10 minutes only. After that, give back the phone to the shop owner and hastily run away.... sweat.gif

OK, this sounds noobish, but how do you pay for the apps in Market. It is not like you have a slot to swipe a credit card on the Defy or something like that.... laugh.gif sweat.gif

so, there is no longer issue regarding earpiece isnt it...?

I bought mine in early February and last week my earpiece had died. cry.gif

Sent for warranty repair since it is an original Brightstar unit. They say will take at least 1 week to repair. doh.gif Now I am android-less and using my ancient motorola V8. LOL... after all these years of smartphones.... it is refreshing to have a phone that just make calls & send sms only.... laugh.gif

Earpiece died? Is it earpiece  or jack slot?
*
Earpiece, as in I cannot hear the person calling me when I answered the phone. Have to use speaker phone to be able to hear they are saying. No sound at all....

QUOTE(scott-lim @ May 22 2011, 11:00 AM)
finally i made my purchase of defy. RM1050 AP set.

i managed to transfer about 90% of my contact to the new phone.. seems some or few contact when missing after changing phone (but i had sold off the old phone)

I have few question still about the defy that wish any sifu that can share information with me

1) i wish to used the phone as modem.. but some how is not successful.

2) how long is the battery last on the phone? i have it full charge sat 6am.. 1030am seems about 30% gone...

3) what are the must have software to load for the phone, so far i only have angry birds

4) still no official update for 2.2...
*
Use as modem like tethering using USB cable? Try PDAnet. If not, can use the built-in 3G wifi app. thumbup.gif
