My defy got bricked, can/t even power up. Any suggestion?

safer than china rom coz quite few ppl post that their flash LED dead after using china ROM

try to press volume key up + down together, if still no luck then use your finger to touch the bottom right corner of the screen then the menu shd come out by this time

finally i made my purchase of defy. RM1050 AP set.

i managed to transfer about 90% of my contact to the new phone.. seems some or few contact when missing after changing phone (but i had sold off the old phone)

I have few question still about the defy that wish any sifu that can share information with me

1) i wish to used the phone as modem.. but some how is not successful.

2) how long is the battery last on the phone? i have it full charge sat 6am.. 1030am seems about 30% gone...

3) what are the must have software to load for the phone, so far i only have angry birds

4) still no official update for 2.2...

you must let us know what you did before you arrive at this situation. without that, no one can really help you properly

Wat about power up + volume up? You can get into bootloader mode to flash new sbf. If your battery is too low, you have to find a way to charge the battery. Either find a friend who has a defy to ask him help charge it or you can try mcgyver method (you can ask blackswicthkl on how to do it as he done it before).

and some more.. but thats above is a must

4. MIUI is a great2 ROM to go.. wont regret choose it.

Use as modem like tethering using USB cable? Try PDAnet. If not, can use the built-in 3G wifi app.

My answer to your question as below

1. Wifi Hospot always work, but if u mean using USB cable then need something like "PDAnet".

2. Hm.. this really depend on personal usage, but new phone new battery performance will increase after 1~2 week of usage. Of cause upgrade to froyo 2.2, GingerBread 2.3 and some tweak will increase the battery power also.

3. For me .. "must have software" is titanium backup, papago x5, 3D gallery, Quickoffice, WhatsApp, AdFree, Talking Hippo and more more more ...

4. Got official update but not here .. and most of us here doesn't care much coz some of us tasted GingerBread jor

is it normal.??how can i get back my Motoblur.???

All button cannot ..Before that flash china froyo sbf with rsd without show device and device properties..karang kabo disconnect cable halfway..

emm. the main thing ppl root Defy is to get rid that slow MotoBlur,
maybe previous owner already flashed with deblur ROM since u said its 2.3.4
