anyone here facing keyboard and trackpad can't be use, it is really random, when the keyboard can't be use, the F12 for the wireless still light up

Happen to me once. The keyboard and track pad not responding. So far haven't experienced it again.

hi dm1, i would like to confirm that your dm1 did not create this demonic sound from your hardisk when you use it. i took the laptop to the service centre and they say it is normal and refuse to fix it. now the sound is getting louder and sometimes theres a loud scratch. my dm1 is using 500GB Hitachi HTS545050B9A300

or maybe someone kind enough to record a video of their dm1 for me as a prove that mine is broken?

mine also sometimes got that kind of sound...
especially when i'm using it more than 24 hours...
and yeah...the sound does appear even when mine only about 1 week old
that why i decided to purchase HP CarePack 3 years warranty just in case something "bad" happen...

p/s:
so far nothing "bad" happen to mine 10 month old dm1 except for some BSOD cause by graphic driver i surpose...
and also maybe because dm1 use hitachi HDD..

I'm using the Dell m102z actually, I just suspect it's a general performance issue with E-350/450 processor...

My laptop comes with 4GB RAM + 500GB 7200RPM hard drive btw.

Do you have the same problem with Google Chrome? I find Chrome to be faster in its tab management.

Chrome seems faster..but if there were many tabs being opened, then the performance would decrease

i find as MS updates its win7, overtime, the damn computer starts to show its sluggishness. Its like every update uses more resources making the e-350 seems very under powered to a point i am contemplating in buying a new laptop.
