i did remove norton internet security and a few more softwares that came preinstalled
previously my CPU seem to be working all the time, a check on task manager shown that NIS was the culprit.
replace it with avast free, so far mine only get warm... not so hot anymore.

yea, HP should made better palm rest; something like ASUS.
even ASUS's e450 lappy shown almost similar temperature but it dont feel as hot.

helo pros. i bought dm1-4000au 3 weeks ago. then i upgrade my ram to 4gb. 2gb + 2gb. then i reformat my windows and upgrade it to Windows Home Premium 64Bit.

The problem right now. when i used the laptop within 2 or 3 hours,
some part of my screen will have a line with different colour. After i restart the line will gone for a while. but after 1 or 2 hours again it will come back.

is it this model not support 64Bit of OS?

been awhile since i post here...
anybody ever experience BSOD with their dm1
mine was dm1-3022au (e-350)

i keep constantly getting blue screen
and the course of that is atikmpag.sys cry.gif
i do always keep update with a new driver
mine amd catalyst ver. 11.11 ( don't know it's old or new version...but when ever it pop out for update...i always click YES tongue.gif )

Weird huh? Sometimes i get a warning that bios is corrupted but i am allowed to continue. No idea why the hell.

happens to me a while ago when i installed hp 64bit. back then my ram was the standard 2gb. first i tough it was because of the heat (long operating hour) but it all disappear when i reformat again and install again the window but this time the driver that i used is from my recovery partition instead of previously i search for it one by one. so conclusion is it might be the driver.

ouh ya i think the driver problem too. but i used and install the new version driver from hp website dated 2011-11-11 , Version:8.863.0.0. hmm.gif
maybe i need to used the default driver given..
