Hey, I tried a HP DM1z in Harvey Norman the other day, the old version with E-350. It's using 64-bit Windows 7.

I noticed when playing 1080p flash video in Youtube, the frame rate actually drops and the video is very choppy. Can someone confirm this? I'm using Dell M102z and I have the same problem.

The video I tried was this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jm0CE5IQuy4&feature=feedu

refer to the link below:

though this is the review for desktop E-350, it does apply for the dm1 as both share similar setup, 1080p Flash may not be smooth, but the LCD is only 1366x768, AFAIK its overkill unless you are connecting an external LCD

Ah, thanks for the link bro!

I initially thought this APU has no problem with 1080p playback, which I am half right half wrong I guess. It has no problem with native video playback, but for Flash playback it has some issues, this can be blamed mainly on Adobe, not AMD.

Those of you using E-350 and experiencing very choppy video playback on 1080p Youtube/Flash videos, just update Flash Player to the latest v11.

Everything is very very smooth now! thumbup.gif

Just wanna ask real quick, any of you use Firefox (latest version) on this lappy and feel that sometimes opening and closing tabs will lag a little?

I'm using the Dell m102z actually, I just suspect it's a general performance issue with E-350/450 processor...

My laptop comes with 4GB RAM + 500GB 7200RPM hard drive btw.

Do you have the same problem with Google Chrome? I find Chrome to be faster in its tab management.
