helo pros. i bought dm1-4000au 3 weeks ago. then i upgrade my ram to 4gb. 2gb + 2gb. then i reformat my windows and upgrade it to Windows Home Premium 64Bit.
The problem right now. when i used the laptop within 2 or 3 hours, some part of my screen will have a line with different colour. After i restart the line will gone for a while. but after 1 or 2 hours again it will come back.
is it this model not support 64Bit of OS?
Thanks.

QUOTE(karim_effendy @ Dec 5 2011, 09:08 AM) happens to me a while ago when i installed hp 64bit. back then my ram was the standard 2gb. first i tough it was because of the heat (long operating hour) but it all disappear when i reformat again and install again the window but this time the driver that i used is from my recovery partition instead of previously i search for it one by one. so conclusion is it might be the driver. ouh ya i think the driver problem too. but i used and install the new version driver from hp website dated 2011-11-11 , Version:8.863.0.0. maybe i need to used the default driver given.. Thanks Pro..

QUOTE(demio121 @ Mar 15 2012, 10:37 PM) hi fellas, anyone here use DM1 for php/mySQL development (xampp)? if yes, how is the performance? i'm using apache webserver, i'm not using xampp (bundle). i download one by one and install manually apache + php + mysql. everything fine. my dm1 run windows home premium 64bit and ram4gb.. dual boot.. sometimes run linux fedora.

QUOTE(demio121 @ Mar 16 2012, 10:44 AM) is the performance is any slow or heat problem? I am contemplating btw HP DM1 and Dell Inspiron 13Z. My preference is DM1 cuz of price and this is juz a hobby thing. I don't wanna spend to much. terima kasih banyak banyak....!!!! the performance quite ok walaupun u open many browser (because i'm using 4gb of ram).. but the heat of course really hot (need air cooler).. Doing programming not for 1 or 2 hour.. for me almost 15 - 17 hours.. second thing its AMD. between dm1 and 13Z.. my suggestion better gor for 13Z.. the processor for 13Z quite good i3 + DVD + 13" LCD..
