Tested my new umobile prepaid (pay-as-you-use) during my trip to Cameron/Genting:-

My house (Johore Bahru, Nusajaya) - NO 3G!!!  It is a shock cuz Nusajaya is right within Iskanda Development Region... Terrible download speed @ 28 kbp    icon_question.gif

North South Highway (between Johor and Seremban) -  1 - 2 mbp   icon_idea.gif
North South Highway/Seremban - 3 mbp to 5 mbp     drool.gif

Cameron Highland -  Only 2G, but signal ok... appx 130 kbp    smile.gif

Genting -  2G - appx 130 kbp at public area downstairs
            -  2G - appx 70 kbp in hotel room
I like Umobile cuz it is cheaper.  But I lost phone connection a few times when in hotel room in Genting.  I need to switch off and on my phone (Samsung SII)  to restore signal.  Any idea why is that so?

have a feeling that your phone was trying to connect to 3g then 2g again.
this is a frequent problem for me on my blackberry.
for me... to solve this i juz on 2g only as it saves batt.
when need to suft net i change to 3g':)

mine when connection lost... it'll take about 5-10second to connect back to again, either 2g or 3g

Released the Internet Tethering in my iPhone 3G has gone.

I have bought the new 7.2 68 plans yesterday but until now I can't using it as the device says not connected, I search for manual line shows there is 3g and 2g line but still can't connect to it, is it my number still not activated? because when I use the sim card to my phone it says the sim card is inactive?

what u do mean by released the internet?

means that the existing Internet Tethering bar /Personal Hotspot in Network disappear and i cant connect the internet from phone to my laptop like previously (use iphone as modem). How am i going to solve this? It works with my Digi prepaid but not Umobile .. Once i put in my Umobile sim, the Settings automatically changed ... cry.gif
