haha...dont worry la...my temp is normal for prescott..after all i oc what?.. rolleyes.gif..it also can handle until 80c before it hang or burn..but from what i know..intel never dies. smile.gif

my p4 2.4c oced to 3.2 already 30-40 celcius when i just boot up. on full load reach 60 celcius. how to be on the safe side?

btw, i've got a unused small tube of Zalman's thermal paste. you can hav it for free

i did. i just found my tube of el-cheapo vantec thermal paste that came with my Vantec Iceberq fan. it was meant for GPU. but what the heck, i just applied on my CPU. seems like no difference cry.gif

hahah.. still studyin..today no class whistling.gif btw i heard else where forum says that a proc normal life span will b >10years ,if not take k finely, it wil shorten to 5-7 years.. dunno true or not though... hope some1 can enlighten me..

I guess it's pretty seldom we'll still be using a 7 year old processor. Most apps would be too taxing at that time for it.

no difference between thermal paste for GPU or for CPU actually, same thing
temps might not drop, but at least u dont have to worry about it burning tongue.gif

i think even thought the processor can hang on in 7years,the other component like mobo and HDD already down shakehead.gif

of course la man..u oc..then get some high performance heatsink...ur proc is not prescott right?...if not then it really hot reaching 60c.
