QUOTE(zyudensan @ Jul 6 2008, 02:16 PM)
hai all..
i am new here..

i just buy motherboard MSI 7512 V1.0 Platinum with E8400 3.0Ghz core2duo...and Kingston hyperX KHX8500D2K/2GN twin 1066Mhz..

i can overclock easy until 3.4Ghz.. but i dont think it stable..

any body out there can give configuration for max overclock for this motherboard with E8400? coz as i know this processor can overclock until 4.2~4.5 on air..

the other case is my mobo operate only at 800Mhz DRAM.. even my RAM is 1066Mhz.. how can i get 1066Mhz?
some one help me to get setting for OC ntil 4.0Ghz?4.2Ghz? or more? TQ..

for the speeds of ram, set your divider in your BIOS..

nice spec there besides the HyperX sweat.gif

Like TKH said, you will need a good chip to whack it to 4G + on the E8, which is below 1.4V because of the 45nm Architecture

Test your stability with Prime95.

yup not in air conditioned.. no idea y.. i tried installing vendetta 2 3-4times d.. thats the best for now -.-!! damn sad.. i think my room temperature kinda high.. btw when load its around 61-64Celcius.

btw if on stock, idle; 42Celcius Load; 59Celcius -.-!

will try reduce the vcore.. but then i think not much diff.. should decrease ard 1 celc only..

fyi, e8400 got temp sensor problems, every batch diffrent readings... u can ask OC4/3... his temp higher even on WC, my friend's E8400 different temps with me on same cooling and ambient... quite a margin of difference when i tried his proc on my system...

i am not 100% sure its sensor problem, mayb its the silicon batch...

lol stuck sensors. i think my e8200 sensors stuck too.. nvr below 40... it is safe to turn of the thermal throttle TM1 and TM2 for proc. coz i kinda findit hard to stress my e8200 at 4Ghz.. 500*8 everytime stress 2 seconds only error in 1 core but the other can continue.

Although it is unlikely that your proc's core temperature will go up to that high level, you'll never know.... especially if you applied the HSF incorrectly or you overclock with too high a vcore....

It's better to leave them on.... wink.gif

hmmm its funny coz 500*8 1.38V ( kinda high) only will get error... core temp could go up to 6X+++.. anyways to get a stabler setting?

Make sure the reason for the error is not due to your rams or mobo.... to do that, you have to overclock each component individually to find the maximum limits of each component....

wat mobo u using ? sometimes it mayb NB , Vtt or GTL settings... cause last time when using e8400, my cpu tends to fail 4ghz if gtl value and vtt didnt set properly...
