QUOTE(qwerty223 @ Jan 21 2017, 05:50 PM) one of the things you need to consider. you can sound proof it by making sure it is installed on a solid surface, add a rubber/silicon pad in between pump base and installed surface and if it does not help, you have to cover it in a sound proofing box. If these does not work, you should move it to ground. This will require you to reroute your water supply a little bit. But not disturbing neighbour is one of the top priority. Where can I get the Sound proofing Box? If Cover by Box, will the motor overheating?

Plan to DIY maintain my Grundfos pump. 1) Turn off incoming water and electricity. 2) Turn on a tap to release pressure and make sure pressure gauge drop to 0 3) Pump in 22 psi into the pressure tank 4) open back the incoming water supply 5) Turn back on the electricity This post has been edited by zheilwane: Feb 23 2017, 12:47 PM

Thot that the pump is just pure pump only. How often did you need to reset the pressure?

CM5-4PT --> PT = pressure tank if CM5-4PM1 ---> PM1 = Pressure manager (no tank) tank best to pump once a year or grundfos recommend 10 months

Thanks Suren water comes out hot most probably pump overheat (running non-stop), cause could be leaking pipes or pressure manager faulty. Do turn off electricity if you are not using the pump, if you notice the pump is running non-stop. If pump overheat and mech seal spoil = it is as good as buying a new pump, fixing cost like a new pump. Climb up to the pump and check if the center part is leaking or not, if yes = mech seal spoil already = can buy new pump This post has been edited by zheilwane: Feb 24 2017, 09:43 AM

As soon as i heard it continuously running i stopped it and hv switched it on to test occasionally to see if ok or not. I hope Mech Seal not spoilt.(No leaks at ceiling where pump is located) fingers crossed. No choice hv to wait for Grundfos on Monday to see verdict. If new pump required will contact you. Old pump asl bought from you. Thanks

Thanks if over warranty, i would not recommend get grundfos to check, you will need to climb up yourself to c c first, or else you gonna waste the RM 180 service charge. they didnt do anything just climb up c also charge RM 180 This post has been edited by zheilwane: Feb 24 2017, 01:18 PM

QUOTE(spreeeee @ Nov 23 2016, 12:33 PM) u drew yourself? else, refer this guide, was drawn by a sifu: Hi. 1. Say I would like to install the water pump similar to the sketch and also would like to install a centralized water heater for my bathroom, how does it works in terms of the pipe routing? 2. Shouldnt the by pass connect from the water tank? else when i turn on the pump, the water still will flow through the by pass pipe isnt it? QUOTE(zheilwane @ Feb 23 2017, 11:12 PM) bicycle pump and you need a gauge to check the psi in the tank after pumping It worked I managed to charge the tank with a bicycle pump. I followed the instruction on the tank itself. Bleed the water inside the tank by turning off the water inlet to the pump. Then I check the pressure it was 20psi only. Following that, I charged it up to 0.9 X cut in pressure for CM5-4PT which was 26psi as per the Grundfos technical manual. Very simple and easy to do.
