You sure you wan PT? PT = pressure tank = need pump air once a year.

What type of pump would you suggest? My house water pressure is weak, cannot reached 3rd floor tank. So i put a tank at ground floor to collect water and use a pump just to pump it into my upstair main tank.

Appreciate any good advice from forumers.

Recommended to put a tank at ground floor and then only install the pump. However, most customers do not have the space, you can also opt to install the pump direct without a tank but you will affect your neighbors water pressure and if there is insufficient water, you will kena air lock frequent.

a small pump will do either Grundfos CM3-4PM or Teral AB25x254. Currently We are having Promo for Grundfos CM3-5PM only (will be cheaper than CM3-4PM). Best price for Grundfos is only for walk in customers. Sorry cant quote the special price online

Are you using a membrane water filter? If yes, you can bypass it and c whether the flow is acceptable, if yes, then just change your filter.

If your with the Air reservoir, is better leave it on. Without the reservoir is ok to switch it off.

Mine are without, and switch it on only when want to take bath. With this practice, my hose last longer (bidet hose) and also the flexi hose under the basin & WC.

After installation, ask ur plumber wait 5 - 10 minutes next to the pump. If the pump does not start = no pipe leak = safe to leave it on.

My previous house about 15 years+ with GI pipes got minor leak bt we couldnt find the source, so we only turn on the pump when we need it.

New house, no piping issue, we leave it on 24hr unless during vacation we turn it off.

yup, grundfos is better, tatz y it is more exp compared 2 other brands. Been selling them for many years, only focus on grundfos as other cheap brands will eventually give us headache (complains from customers)

Most would get the CH-PC model as it is cheaper and maintenance free. CH-PT model is more exp and need to pump air once a year and servicing around 3 years once. Most ppl would recommend to use CH-PT to make more profit and also to earn ur servicing fee every year.

Many shops will ask u to get CH-PT and will not advise u about the maintenance part. After 1 year+ if u dont pump air, your pump will start giving u problem. Since it is after the warranty period, u will call them to fix it. Usually they will need to change the tank (ard RM 300+) then advise u about the yearly maintenance thing. So, you will call them once a year to service the pump.

Pressure gauge is the only thing you need to know the pressure, as the PVC pipes have the specs, but pipe only carry small aspect on this, the connection joints are more important.

if your water tank is located at ground floor backyard then please take cm5 as more powerful to push the heavy weight of water to upstairs! Currently i am using cm3-5pm1 for my double storey house. If nobody is using the water tap, then i am happy with that pressure in my masteroom or the piping structure in my house are poorly designed. shakehead.gif

Hi zheilwane, what's the difference between the CM3-5PC and CM3-5PM1? Last time I bought CM3-5PC from you for my double-storey house, until today working fine. I'm looking for a pump for my parents house, also double-storey, but don't seem to come across the CM3-5PC type anymore...

Also, my parents prefer a not-so-strong pressure compare to my house (using the CM3-5PC type) if possible. They commented that my house water pressure is too strong to their liking tongue.gif Is there any pump that you can recommend? To put after the tangki which is located upstairs on the roof's concrete floor. The water pressure at the kitchen sink (direct piping from the main) is strong, but the water pressure from the tangki to all the bathroom is like pee flow. New house, unoccupied for few years since getting the keys. Please advice. Thanks!
