I ordered Grundfos CM3-5PM1 from Zean, destination send to Sarawak, Miri. I received a quotation from Zean to a huge surprise, hard to believe that 13kg of shipping fee was excluded from the selling price. I made a giro payment to him on 20/06, Friday then received the water pump in good condition on 24/06, next Tuesday. Indeed second to none in efficiency!

My both neighbors were amazed to see how silent and powerful of the pump. One of my neighbor is using Hitachi pump and he complain about very noisy and quite shaking until he switched it off and choose rather not to use it again. Grundfos is very expensive at Sarawak, Miri. Could be the vendor thought everyone is earning a big bulk and working at oil & gas line. Moreover also could be Bruneians, they buying power is 2.5x of our ringgit Malaysia. For the same model, the price range I can find is from RM 1750 up to RM 2100, exclude the installation charges.

Anyhow, I am pleased to say that Zean is very efficient, friendly, trustworthy character and true as steel! He is a credit to his profession. rclxms.gif notworthy.gif

Zean, just now i am facing the pump is nonstop working when an electricity resume back from the blackout
What is the proper way to reset it ?

when i turn on the faucet, the starting pressure is low and delay for 1 second then after that water pump pressure come in, by the way my friend has CH4-40PC, the pressure come in immediately once i turn on the faucet but why mine unit has the problem of delaying for 1 second ? Is that a normal case for grundfos cm3-5pm1 ?

2 possible I can think of. The pump have a bladder tank ontop. 2nd, the setting pressure.

If you set the cut off higher, the pressure in the pipe is high. So you get a good pressure water flow initial. Once it drop to cut in pressure (which also is high) the pump start to run.

I believed no bladder tank is installed on top of his CH4-40PC. besides that, CH4-40PC & cm3-5pm1 cant adjust the pressure.

If you switch off the pump, and when first time use the water after someday the pressure will still remain high, if low very likely you have a leakage.  But i you have the habit like me than is ok, I switch off everyday, and use normal pressure water to washing bottles (to release the water pressure).  I do this because the pump pressure very often burst the flexi pipe in my house.

when nobody is using the water, the pump is not running and quite for whole day. besides that, i do not spot any wet water mark. The initial pressure dropped instantly even i just turn off the faucet and turn on again. hmm.gif

My pump if didn't off the main switch, the water tap will have slight drop in pressure before the pump kick in.  How much pressure it drop on your?
*
Yup, I notice a pressure drop before pump kick in. Since you have the same case as mine then i assume everything is normal as the pressure drop is not that much.

Can pm me best price for house 2storey house, 2 showers, normal cooking, washing machine. Slight chances of showering, using washing and cooking at the same time.

Also do you provide installation?

Thanks

if your water tank is located at ground floor backyard then please take cm5 as more powerful to push the heavy weight of water to upstairs! Currently i am using cm3-5pm1 for my double storey house. If nobody is using the water tap, then i am happy with that pressure in my masteroom or the piping structure in my house are poorly designed. shakehead.gif

Grundfos cm3-5pm1 has overheat protection or not ? My family noticed my grandpa has a symptom of alzheimer disease. Recently he tends to forget to turn off the water tap, it happens quite few times already. Luckily, we detect earlier and tank's water only left one third.
