is it allowed to discuss Android 4.0.1 on Galaxy S2?

U guys know when u got multiple launchers right, when u press the home button there will be a list of launchers. There is a function where u can tick which is "set this to default". Well, I accidentally ticked that and I can't switch launchers anymore. How to solve this?

go to settings>applications>manage applications>all>search the launcher and clear defaults

(1) want to find out on my email setting (hotmail). I did it through Social Hub (Galaxy W). Not sure how email works in Android. I do not get notification on new email in Hotmail until I go in to refresh. Is that the case? I know cannot compare to BB as its a push mail but I thought Android is a pull where after certain period of time, it will pull the email over automatically?

(2) Which FB apps to use? I can do it via Social Hub or download from Market. I did try both initially. I can say both are not the same and which one is better off?

Got a question here regarding the version of Android. I'm interested to get a Garmin Asus phone due to its powerful GPS function. Currently I'm using WM6.5 phone with GMXT, so Garmin interface is preferable for me.

But the problem is that currently Garmin Asus phone is running on Android 2.1 and there's no update available as both the companies already terminated their partnership. So I would like to know is it OK to live with 2.1? Are all the current apps now require 2.2 or 2.3 already? Basically I'm using the phone just for the phone, organiser, GPS, and occasionally for browsing. Not going into heavy gaming or modding etc.

better buy standalone GPS, nowadays GPS is cheap...
better dont buy Garmin Asus, if got problem in android not many can help you...
and for you information, if their partnered is finish better dont buy, cant find new accessory or not got update is any bug..

Few days ago I installed some apps from Market (forgot which apps) and my phone don't scan my SD card after restarting it.

Somehow I manage to find what's the problem going on and I found the cause. It's because of the .nomedia file. I don't know and even no idea how it was in my SD card in the first place.

So the question is how to prevent the .nomedia file from re-appearing after restarting my phone???

their price have big different nexus s 700-1000, galaxy s2 1500-1800.... but you must know, now galaxy s2 have G version, different hardware from non G, if you want to flash any kernel or root your phone, make sure your phone can use it properly.. read more if dont understand.

thx for ur sugestion.. downloaded mobo player & tried played .flv .avi .mpg format, it all worked,but the videos are very choopy & wasnt syncronised with audio..while audio part played smoothly

moboplayer also able to play .wma format, but the audio is also choppy & not smooth..

whats the problem? im not doing multitasking,or using phone memory that much.. im using 8gb sd card class 4..

S2 better than Nexus S in every area except pricing.

Video is choppy becos Ace simply cannot handle anything decently other than MP4.

You can try xda developer and see if anyone ports a rom in the future. As of now, not even flagship phones like the sgs2 got their ics update.

I have a problem.

Phone: LG Optimus One P500
OS: Android Gingerbread 2.3 V20G

It seems that I cant open up Gallery. After taking pictures, un-able to view the pictures in the gallery.

All these while, it works well. Just started having this problem since this morning.

I've tried using Advance Task Killer to kill Gallery and then try to rerun Gallery. After opening it, the screen waits in darkness and then nothing. I need to press Back twice to get to app drawer. It seems that phone is not hanging but rather the App is.

What should I do now? Can I un-install and re-install it?

U tried restarting the phone?

Try dice player and mx video player instead,from what i've srrn they are bettet than mobo player.one more thing,don't expect too much from an ace,480p videos should be fine thougj.

Guys, how do you pay for those paid apps from you phone ? Do you use carrier billing ?
